Sorry, another question. How do I send them the request to cancel the transaction?
Thanks0 -
Yes, I always agree with NPBs in the case of no contact.
They are probably not going to pay, so don't bother pestering them, just open the cases quietly then close them."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

2 Options.
1) Go into the Resolution Centre and under "I sold an item" select I want to cancel a transaction
2) You can do from the screen where your sales are sat, a dropdown menu at the end will have the option to cancel the transaction.
Select that you have both agreed to cancel then because the buyer changed their mind.0 -
Thank you sgh1976 for the info about the other non payers! You are a superstar!!
Thank you too Crownqueen for your confirmation that this is the right thing to do. Makes me feel a bit less guilty about it all. Seems strange though to have so many non payers.0 -

It might be worth going into your settings (if you haven't done so already) and set up to block buyers who have 2 strikes against their nameTo add buyer requirements to all of your listings:
In My eBay, place your pointer over the Account tab, and then select Site preferences.
In the Buyer requirements section, click the Show link, and then click the Edit link.
On the Buyer Requirements page, select your buyer requirements. For example, you might not want to do business with buyers who:
Don't have a PayPal account
Have unpaid items recorded on their account
Are registered in countries to which you don't ship
Have reportedly violated eBay policies
Have a negative Feedback score
Are currently winning or have bought a large number of your items in the last 10 days
If you want to apply these settings to all current and future listings, select the Apply above settings to current and future listings check box.
If you want to prevent blocked buyers from sending you questions about your listings, make sure the Do not allow blocked buyers to contact me check box is selected.
Click the Submit button to save your requirements.
I am in a strange place today.........I have no items waiting for payment. First time in months. At one point in May I had 17!!0 -
It may be something to do with the Ulster Bank/RBS/NatWest glitches as well. I dodged a bit of bullet there, but others might not have been so lucky. On the day it was all going on I was still able to pay by debit card, withdraw money, etc. etc. and I've been with NatWest ever since they lured me in at university fourteen years ago with the promise of £50 that they didn't pay me for months. NatWest/RBS are fixed but UB is still up the spout.
Will only be extremely localised though."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Oh my goodness sgh1976, 17 non or late payers! Here's me complaining about a handful! I'm sorry!
Thank you for the tip about changing my settings. I will certainly do that. I hadn't realised that you could block certain buyers. I am a useless seller, aren't I?
I had forgotten about that NatWest glitch Crownqueen. Thank you for reminding me. Though, I suppose that they still could have contacted me. I think I will wait 14 days and if I haven't heard anything, then I will open up a dispute for non-payment. Does this seem fair?0 -
No, just open them now. If they're this late in paying, then chances are they won't pay at all."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

Ok. Thanks CrownQueen. I won't wait any longer. I will do it!
Thanks for all your help and advice!0 -
Oh, ebay is asking me if I want an automatic unpaid assistant. Do I want this? Not sure if it is a good choice to do this?0
