Hi chums ironing done thank goodness and I feel like a wet lettuce its so humid here at the moment ,very hazy sunshine that keeps coming out then disappearing behind some cloud I'm just about to have a jacket spud for lunch as I really don't fancy much at all its just too hot to have a cooked meal I shall save myself for tonights salmon.I think I may make some banana custard for pudding, easy and quick, and once done it will do me at least a couple of days.I have the fan blowing across my ankles at the moment and its just heaven
:)
I think we may have a storm later as my wireless was crackling a lot when I had it on when ironing.
Still it will cool things down a bit at least
have a nice afternoon everyone

Our union rep was sent to ask if I was doing everything I could to help hubby relax in the evenings (neither of us are in the union, but it was assumed she's have the people skills to ask the question) I was very good, I closed my lips firmly against all the ribald answers that came to me & explained that I sat up with him for an hour or so after I had collected him to give him chance to talk about his day & offload some of the stress. aren't you all very proud of me for not detailing some of the things I do to help him relax?
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester
Tsk Tsk HH wasted opportunity thereNext time I dare you to tell them :rotfl:
Been busy this week, DD's birthday cake is finally make. Pics in usual place for those that want a nose
Most annoying it's sunny and warm here and the cancelled the rescheduled sports day for DSdue on Monday which probably means more rain. We have weather warnings due for tomorrow. Am heartily sick of this weather now
Tea tonight will be whatever I can be bothered to throw together. Having hair cuts so tend to run on a bit so will probably want something quick in the end.
Hugs and spoons all round xxx Sorry for not mentioning you all, I am now in a rush to get jobs done before school pick up. I'll be glad when it's the weekend and I can get a rest LOLI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Hello ,
Didnt sleep well last night,I was so hot and we had the windows wide open, but no breeze, then the birds started seriously chirping away at 4ish so I ended up shutting them:rotfl:
Its very warm, think it might rain later, but at least we've seen some blue sky and sun today.
Tea tonight will be a hotch potch,as DH is eating out with his Thursday mates, trying the curry night at the local-DS1 wants pizza & DS2 will prob finish the last of the turkey steaks.
I've been into town on the bus for a mooch, not been for ages.Got some fruit and bread off the market, and 2 books from a CS,one is the one DH wanted to read next so he'll be pleased.
I just need to go and walk the neighbours dog as she is back at hospital with her son having a cast removed and isnt sure what time she'll be back, but she has been given a bag of books and has left them out for me to have a look at to see if I want any:)
Hope those under the weather feel better soon xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Afternoon all,
Warm and sunny earlier, clouding over now, wondering if I should take in clothes which should be almost dry...or just keep a close eye for a while.
OH's INR blood levels have been up quite a bit over last couple of weeks, back to hosp this morning and now levels are at 4.3, hospital want it down to between 2 & 3 before we fly, so permutations of Warfarin until Sunday and then back on Monday for another test....am terrified at this stage that they will say that he can't fly...will go mad if that happens....might even go on my own and leave him to it!!
Dinner to-night will be ham, cabbage and new potatoes....potatoes not great this year so far, hope that they improve...will have yoghurt for pudding as have bought too much to use normally before we go so need to eat up.
LW...hugs on your pain levels at present....hopefully Dilly will help to take your mind off...
Hilstep...take it easy, try to avoid falls.
Have been doctoring a cold sore for last few days...using Z****ax, but not having its usual effect or maybe I am being anxious about it...think that I will take to garlic sandwiches later, certainly works but not nice if you are meeting people!
Hugs to all in need or want of one....brain is not working very well at present, too much going on there I think....

DD was home all day, she had promised me that she would hang the washing out. (99% hers) - got home to find her asleep, no washing out she,d forgotton!! - lazy git - at least she,s not yelling, she did hint that she might need some money, funnily enough i,ve forgotton my pin number.........:D
Weathers been okay here, no rain anyway, sun is out now, would have been a great drying day:mad:
I have a week off next week (i might have mentioned it a few dozen times), I think DD and I will spend some bonding time together and I will let her know that a little help from her would be appreciated, especially if she expect me to dip into my purse for her - could be interesting......:rotfl:

Hi everyone.
Beautiful day today and I should be working in the garden but I'm not. Can't remember the excuse I'd worked out for myself but I'm sure it was very plausible.
Lots of interruptions this morning but this afternoon I've decluttered my workstation - all except one shameful drawer, and am about to pitch into a bit of ironing.
HM burger for lunch with salad and fried LO boiled potatoes. No, sauteed pots, that sounds much better. Followed by a sinful but delicious choc ice for pudding.
HH: As far as I remember I never found it particularly relaxing, lots of other adjectives spring to mind but 'relaxing' isn't one of them. You did miss a juicy opportunity to do some really high class embarrassing though.
Camelot: Smear tests - UGH. The last one I had, the doctor's anglepoise type lamp had broken and I had to hold it up with one foot.
Lou: Sympathy about the bump and various pains and discomforts. I always feel sorry for people who have to carry babies through the summer months. It's not been too bad this year so far but it's so uncomfortable when it's really hot. My DIL2B is also suffering. They have put back her due date until the end of September, but she is pretty big now.
Kettle: Welcome. If you have a parking space you could make a fortune renting it out on match days.
OK. That's enough fun for today. Back to the ironing.I believe that friends are quiet angels
