I've signed up for Noddle just so that I can keep any eye on what's happening, choosing Noddle as it is free.
I know two other credit reference agencies are the main two however, and no doubt once I have been discharged from BR I will sign up to one of those so that I can make sure it is up to date and correct info is cited and out of date info is removed where it can be. Until then I don't really want to be paying monthly to access those credit reports because atm that would be wasted money.
However Noddle seems to be totally out of date and I am wondering how good it is? I was declared BR in May but it doesn't show up yet saying there is no BR against me for one example. Or does it take a while for info to reach these agencies and the other two will be as behind as Noddle is?
What do people think of Noddle?

AFAIK bankruptcy only appears if one of the creditors reports it to them. Hopefully someone can confirm that for me.
When you are discharged you will need to get all three CRA reports to look at doing your clean up.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Should be informed of the BR via the Insolvency Service as well (allegedly).
Noddle should be more or less as complete as CallCredit, as the data comes from the same place. But the info only gets updated with a new report once per months, so can lag time wise.
So may show when you next get a monthly update to the Noddle report.
Also something to check is that you gave the correct info regarding addresses etc when signing up for Noddle. I'm sure you have, but maybe double check.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Found it very good here. But then again, I signed up at the very beginning of their trial service, so I think any wrinkles with my reports on their site got ironed out quite early on.
At the moment I like my Noddle report, as all the defaults have gone and it's just the single BR entry as a black mark in the adverse data. Which should be gone later this year. :cool:Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

I'm sure the address is right, all the accounts it quotes are mine. Another thing I note, the report has me financially linked to my ex (we divorced in 2009 and we have no financial links now) and to my sister (we were joint executors of my mothers estate in 2005 no further financial links between me and either of them since. Do I just ignore these two links or should I do something about this as we have no financial links at all? Though obviously have in the past. Apart from that, everything on the report was accurate albeit not yet updated since BR."Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." I think it can take a few weeks for the BR info to show on your credit file, probably the same length of time as creditors being informed.
My dad had been a guarantor for me many years ago, and although the account has now fallen off the financial link was still there.
It's easy enough to remove however, just contact each of the CRAs and they'll remove it.
I like Noddle, I am at the point of clearing up my files post discharge and it's very handy to be able to keep an eye on things for free. Obviously I still have to get the other ones but it's a good starting pointFeb 2024:

Mine also links me to my ex. I reported it as wrong and said I have no financial associations with him (Have not done since 2005 I think). On the way to ZERO!!

Did you have to prove the disconnection or did they just take your word for it? ie did you need to evidence the divorce etc."Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them." Dalai Lama0

I only told them today. Will find out in 28 days I think. There was no divorce but that is when house was sold. It linked me to the address he moved to when he broke up. I have never lived there. So I am hoping it will be an easy process. On the way to ZERO!!

If you are "hiding" from any debt, even statute barred then it is the last place to type in all your "up to date" details.
