Hypothetical answer on my part, never had to, only serious 1 I had when we were hit head on resulted in hospital so police called anyway, but it's what I would do.

Look at it his way, if you are involved in a crash are you more likely to ring 999 if you are at fault or innocent?, ok, an element of psychology, but it's a fact and insurers can use this in 50/50's

Anyway I see it my way you yours, end of,

    Looking at your history.

Did you call 999 when you reversed into the traffic lights?

Probably not because you were at fault. Should you not have been prosecuted for careless?

Good news, but some general advice, in future dont wave or flash other drivers across, let them make their own decision if its safe to go, mis-placed courtesy kills !

So why try and sue the contractor is you were in the right? So by your logic you called the police about this one as the other party was to blame.

Oh and less of the abuse please you wouldn't do it face to face.

Somehow I think I would to someone who has to dredge through a posters history to gain irrelevant info to aid their failing argument.

I tried to make it clear in post #25 that you can have it your way if you which, just don't expect me to see things the same way, so why the continuing onslaught?

Look you have your view and I have mine, now stop acting like a prat and trying to impose yours on me, just accept we do not agree.
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

Brilliant! Really pleased for you. Obviously someone with a a bit decency!

For future. You can report any accident to the police but if there is not excessivly carelessness or injury caused , they will not follow up for any prosecution, merely note for stats and ensure all parties have the appropriate documents. The police will use people in the vehicles involved as witnessess. However I have heard insurance companies do not!

Thanks, I didn't actually wave anyone across, just left the room to let them go if they wished. I appreciate what you are saying though. The 2nd car was stationary and waving at a pedestrian when I crossed the junction.

I do believe that accidents take two - one being careless or incompetent and one not paying close enough attention or responding properly. I put myself in the latter, my daughter spotted the careless driver but I didn't. I feel quite bad about that particularly as I had a very precious passenger and intend to be much more careful myself in future.
    Appreciate your advice :D
