I absolutely would be happy to care for him or for anyone else. I know he has done things that are awful but that would not stop me caring for him, the man has an is serving a sentence for what he did.
Everyone has aright to be treated with respect and if we stop doing this then we are no better than the perpetrators of
No, even If l didn't treat him with respect it still makes me better than a pedophile and murderer....
He has no compassion for mrs.bennett who still can't bury her son so he doesn't deserve any compassion shown to him IMO. Yes he went back to the more but only after what 30 years?

'makes you better'? no hun, it doesnt. in fact it takes you down to his level. and if you dont understand that then I dont want to explain it to you.0 -

That's pretty harsh.
Struggling to feel any compassion or respect for a child murderer makes you as bad as a child murderer?
Not in my book.0 -

Agree.
I don't believe there are many people down at that 'level' - sassyblue is certainly not
As far as people 'wishing to keep him alive' as some sort of vengeance. I don't know how I feel about this. Honestly, I think let him die. Not from the nursing care, but if he commits suicide or whatever them so be it

You don't quite get the physical behaviour of the moor - you can bury anything one day and go back the next and it wouldn't be in the exact same place. He was taken back at least 3 times to my knowledge and on each occasion has pointed out the same markers....they now bear no relevance to where Keith Bennett's body lies.thatgirlsam wrote: »... No, because then he gets what he wants, to escape from the guilt. And he has been on suicide watch since he was admitted to Ashworth. The staff there are exceptional.0 -
You misunderstand my post!
No - I didnt mean to feel compassion! where did I say that? I meant to treat Brady as any other patient. You do not have to feel compassion - just treat him. If you cannot do that - then yes you have lowered yourself.0 -
Don't forget that he has been fed by tube for 12 years since he refused food, so he is not getting an easy life while being held in Ashworth secure hospital.0

To the level of a child murderer?
Not in my book. it may be regrettable that you can't find it in you to show compassion, but it certainly doesn't mean you are equal to him.0 -

Tube feeding isn't arduous at all though.in itself. Obviously he doesn't want the nutrition so there is a problem from his perspective.
My great-aunt has been entirely tube-fed for over seven years and it's not difficult at all.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

I've accompanied a deliberate overdose patient to A&E, and they didn't do anything other than monitor the patient, refusing to pump the stomach.
I was told by a nurse from another hospital that they do tend to leave overdose patients to it as they view them with scorn.
So, one actual experience and one bit of hearsay is all I have to go on so far as to how a "less worthy" patient may be treated (or not!) in these circumstances.0
