I'll be at the Belfast home store in the morning, hoping to get curtains, bedcovers, wall paper and some matching crockery!
Fingers crossed.0 -

There is a particular group of parents that come out in their hundreds and descend on the store - dont get me wrong I have nothing against anyone whatever ethnic, religion or anything going. But they do tend to show themselves up they had buggies piled sky high with stuff they had just grabbed and was going to sort through i even saw a couple actually lifting clothes off the whole rail about 200 items and putting it ontop of a pram they obviously didnt want them all they wanted to sieft. I wont be going to this store again as they were jostling and pushing everyone out of the way. I feel for the lady who has to take a double buggy as our local stores are normally packed and no one cares whether you have a child or two they will shove you out of the way so you have to be very firm and hold your ground.
In all honesty the other shoppers would probably be a mix of irritated and bemused by someone getting their kids up and taking them to the Next sale at 5 am.
Tomatoplant, I have been to loads of them and bought all my boys' stuff there when they were young but I'd rather miss out on the bargains than face it with little ones.0 -
I really wouldn't recommend taking small children to the sale. It's scary and packed enough as an adult! And I can't imagine how you'd even start to get a double buggy through the crowds.Illegitimi non carborundum.0

I'd second what BettiePage has said. If you can avoid it, please don't bring young children along, as it gets very crowded and some adults seem to lose their manners during the first day of sale. As for me, well, I'm the unfortunate person on the till who'll try serve everyone quickly. Think I'd better go to bed soon

only been to a couple of early sales but definately agree with the others, not a place for kids0

Metrocentre a fair few years ago, I was literally shoved headfirst into the shelves so a woman behind me could grab some plates from the shelf infront of me - it started a domino effect right along the shop and several people fell to the ground and were clearly hurt. If a buggy had been there God knows what would have happened. Previous posters are accurate, some shoppers lose all sense and just shove and push and are simply rude and dangerous.
