It's very easy to find an alternative.

E.g. their current account number is 08448 44 88 44. Do a search on http://www.saynoto0870.com and you find that you could also call 0161 829 5860 or 0800 576777

So they expect you to pay 5.11p per minute and set-up cost of 13.1p to call there 0844 number from a BT Line,to obtain Customer Service . So they can earn money from your call.

Even worse if your a Virgin Media customer as VM charge approx 100% per minute more then BT for calls to the number,and if your on a mobile suppliers can charge anything up to 40p a minute.

Coop Bank should be ashamed of themselves !!!!

yes the number 01695 is still live but a recorded message tells you that it is changing soon to the 0844 number.
