Hi Elona, I recently switched from a bath to a walk-in shower and got my bits from Eb&y. The shower tray is fab, lovely and big but I do have a bath mat in there as it looks like it could be slippery and with a bad back and arthritis I don't want to risk anything!

Hope this helps

Evening all
No allergy reaction today, so that's a relief. Thanks for all your kind thoughts.
Lol @ allergic to the carp, someone at work suggested it might be a stress reaction.
I didn't touch the vole, I just put a box down & he obligingly climbed in to it, but I have handled them in the past to no ill effect
Welcome to the newbies.
Lol @ BB's extra mustard.
http://www.facebook.com/#!/photo.php?v=4170010006145 this might make you laugh
Have a good evening everyone.
Hugs Hester

Evening all, been wet here most of today....so depressing. Had a busy day at school so it was fish and chips for tea, the kitten kept trying to pinch the fish off our plates, he certainly lives up to his name.
Glad you are feeling better HH I always carry antihistamines as I have random allergic reactions to things. Hope you are feeling better Lamewolf and Hilstep I'm with your mum on that colour Moorhen , would choose that myself. Well done FB we are proud of you and nice that you turned that lad's life around. Hugs to all in need.

Hi all,
Been hard to get time for myself hence absence on here for a couple of days.
Dentist yesterday and learned that a wisdom tooth that has been patched and re-patched over the years must now come out.
Rev having a meeting downstairs at the moment - gales of laughter telling me that far too good a time is being had. Had to make refreshments so dug some skinless sausages and puff pastry out of freezer and made sausage rolls, cheese straws and then some brownies. DIL2B and grandson coming tomorrow so leftovers won't be around for long.
Welcome Newbies.
Sillyinthepast: Nutella cookies sound scrumptious but I don't dare have it in the house - tend to eat it out of the jar with a spoon.
Been reading the Hoarding thread and am now guiltily having a quick throwaway session. Finding all sorts of things I'd forgotten about, so I obviously don't need them - still difficult to actually bung it into a black bag though.
To all you people hankering after the sea, it's not often people envy me so I'm feeling unbearably smug.:D
The noise downstairs is slowing abating so I'd better go down and start the clear up. I'm far from being Housewife of the Year but I do hate going to bed and leaving the kitchen in a mess. Wish I felt like that about the rest of the house!

Evening all, just popped my head around to say I had a nice suprise tonight My lovely DD (Tessa) brought me a big bunch of red carnations home for me.They are my favourite flowers (I used to grow them before my joints became too stiff for gardening) not for any reason but just to say "Thank you for being my Mum" bless her I know she can ill-afford them, but it was such a nice gesture thaat I couldn't tell her off.
Mikey, the youngest DGS and I sat and made a 'holiday calender' with how many days it was until we go away and he has hung it up in their kitchen and said 'I shall cross off the days Granny and I will then know how quickly the seaside is coming' We only told him on Sunday night at dinner about the holiday as he gets so excited, the rest of the boys knew, but never said a word to him.He has been walking around with a great big smile on his face since then.Tonight he gave me his £1.00 tooth fairy cash to put in the ice cream holiday pot with the rest of the 'road-kill' pennies that we have found over the past year. They keep a sharp look out on the pavements as they come home from school and any spare pennies got in the tin.
essex girl Mersea Island is a lovely spot,I lived in a tiny cottage behind The Fox pub in East Road in between East and West Mersea back in 1965-67 and when we came back to London to live when I was pregnant with my eldest DD the local bobby came the day before we moved out and asked if he could have our flowering cherry tree from the garden for his garden, I bet its huge now:).Everyone knew each other in those days .Our rent on this cottage was four guineas a week (£4.20p) and we rented a garage for our little Triumph Spitfire car off the pub for 7/6d a week.back in those days our total earning between us was about £25.00 a week, and on that we were quite well off.My milkman used to deliver my milk and if I was out would open the back door and put it in the tiny fridge for me in the summer to make sure it never went off.I never locked my back kitchen door at all in all the time I lived there. We even went away to Norfolk on the broads for a week and I had forgotten to lock the back door. But I never once worried about it. Couldn't do it now though.I loved living there but after I lost my first baby(mis-carried at 5 months ) I worried that because it was so off the beaten track when I was pregnant with my eldest DD. I wanted to be back in the city and able to get to a Dr or hospital easier, so we moved back to London.Had some happy days there though
Well enough waffling, time I was off to bed for a read
Good night God bless all here
