    Morning All

Go Moorhen's Mum, if you have to have a cast on everyone should know about it!! Hope she gets better soon.

HH - That sounds like a horrid reaction to something, hope you find out what it was so that you can avoid it.

    Hilstep - Hugs to you.

Raining again here (oh what a surprise!), washing will be hanging about on airers again. DD is off today so wanted to go to the cinema as it's half price day but the chimney folk say that they may come back this afternoon. Working at 6.

Made DD sausage and mash yesterday with YS sausages from L!dl, tonight is cauliflower cheese as I bought a mahoosive cauli at the weekend.

    Take care. XX

    Morning all

HH - hope it was just a one-off
Hilstep - take it easy x
Moorhen - love your Mum's choice of cast!

Well the presentation went well yday in work. I mentioned last week about the email I had from one of my ex-work kids mum, well the boy spoke at the presentation as he is one of our youth supporters, and said how he credits me with turning his life around :o his speech made me cry (and gained me huge brownie points with the big big bosses! ;))! His mum also came to the presentation, and she gave me a big hug afterwards. So it was a nice day.

Today I am office based and need to work on re-writing our education portfolio, yawn! But it's good practise for me, and good experience teaching wise.

OS wise - packed lunch made, need to get some fresh veg on way home at Aldi, dishes to wash, may make veggie chilli tonight although I do have some LO takeaway pizza from last night to eat for tea.

    Have a good day all

Love the giant ice cream Tru :) not sure I'd ever want to eat something Heston has cooked mind, too wacky for me :rotfl: re taking photos I am no expert but lighting and background make a massive difference. Some pointers on here, check out how other people display their goods for ideas and inspiration. Sadly when the weather is like this taking a decent photo is a nightmare!

Sybil....never had the pleasure of living by the sea, land locked Midlands born and bred. Hate it :o just seeing the ocean makes me instantly better, straining for a glimpse of it on the way down to Woolacombe etc. sound like a right old saddo :rotfl:

  • morning all do you mind if I join the thread?

We have rain again here today so the tumble dryer will be on again as I have changed the beds and I struggle to get it dry otherwise.

I have no plans until school pick up so I am going to potter around tidying. I am going to bake cookies in a bit. I have seen a recipe for easy nutella cookies which I am going to have a go at.

We have chicken casserole in the slow cooker and I am going to make a pineapple upside down cake for pudding I think.

I hope you are all having a wonderful day x

    morning all

HH hope you feel better soon. Maybe take anti histamine for a few more days.

    Hilstep(hugs)

Wet here again.....need to have a last minute clean through today as a friend is coming this evening for dinner and will stay overnight. She lives in London and is currently working in Gloucester during the week. So salmon fillets in lime and coriander with salad and new potatoes for dinner and I may make some meringues and fill with cream and fresh fruit. I will pop a loaf in the breadmaker-want to experiment with rye and caraway seed.

Well hugs and kind thoughts to all.

    Morning all!
WM is on with everyone's soaking clothes from yesterday, go away rain!
Am sitting here avoiding mount ironmore, but will need to tackle it soon, once DS surfaces from his pit will need to take him for trainers as current ones are burst and soaking wet! Then will do some cooking of work meals, may be bolognaise, will see what I fancy from the cupboards and fridge, only one day off this week after today so will need to get food organised cos it will be spent washing and ironing work clothes!
    Have a good day!

    Welcome sillyinthepast x

The sea is my spiritual home, and I'm very lucky to have always lived in a seaside town :) My old flat used to be right next to the sea, but I'm now a 10min drive away. I pretty much get to see the sea on a daily basis, and often take the work kids down for a blow the cobwebs away walk or game of footy! The only time I lived inland was the 4month I spent at summer camp in the US, but we had a lake so it wasn't too bad!

Morning all. Thought i was doing well getting stuff done early today, just been the post office and they insisted on prices I wasn't sure about but were adamant they were right and I must not understand the price changes. Got home and checked and I've been overcharged by £1.10 for 8 things. On hold to royal mail right now :(

    Morning Hester and all,

theres a lot of us suffering with the dreaded hayfever at the moment. Fortunately i dont suffer with it myself but my son is on antihistamines as he's been suffering quite badly this year.

I'm still struggling with the beta blockers the doc has put me on but i'm not moaning (much).

Pasta bake for tea tonight. Son will be pleased and its quick and easy to make.

As ive not been up to much ive been sorting through hubbies wardrobe he could do with a load more clothes. I think its about time i spent some money on him and put the house on hold for a while.

  • Morning all ... newbie alert, can I join in please?

Cold, grey and very wet here today. DD not well, so at my mums while I'm at work.

Hester - maybe you were allergic to the vole?

Very proud of myself yesterday, I:

    1. Tidied out my store cupboard and have much, much more stock than I thought - won't need to do a big shop for a while :-) Plus the cupboard is sooo tidy now!

    2. Chopped up and froze some left over carrots and onions I had (they would normally have gone to waste), to use another day.

    3. Started talking to the kids about money saving and how they will need to do their bit - being made redundant later in the year :-(

    4. Got 4 books from the library, so having some ME time before bed (usually buy them and leave on a shelf!)

    Nothing major, but small steps.

Hope you all have good days. x
