We've been rising this week! haha :p
About due for a fall I'd guess. I'd not dealing anyhow.
Seems Im doing rubbish but my best port is in the monthly comp so I hope for some takeover to happen before month end and push me to the top.............

The days of the digger have been kind to the Tigger,
And for sure over Vatakoula, must I no longer snigger,
At 11% in two months, Sabre is now top of MSE table,
Extra effort needed to catch you, but I am sure we are able!

  • The mods removed my post for reasons unknown.
I was just pointing out the September competition starts on monday, for the monthly LSE draw but also https://www.stockchallenge.co.uk too

They both got prizes and I figures its good practise anyhow. I didnt realise I was top in our comp :j

VGM has got a big Chinese investor buying at 50p when the shares are at market for 30p so no wonder it rose. So long as gold holds high like it has they should boom I reckon.

Same deal with XTA, multiple parties interested and the market price was below fair value

Probably is others, HOIL was a big one
  • I am in - I have no idea how to do this but I figure it is better to have a first go with 'fake money'!

2024 - happy, healthy, quality over quantity, buy nothing new (and 2nd hand only if NEEDED), mindful spending, nurturing myself and family, living for now.

Mortgage @ 31/12/23 £248k - too high, interest rate gone up - want this down asap!
    Debt @ 31/12/23 £16k - no interest - will clear over 5 years hopefully.
Emergency savings £4k - been ransacked over last year - needs attention :-(

Absolutely, the main thing is matching your interest to timing of possible growth

I recommend this contest because it only requires one entry per month, so long as your research is good and luck is with timing then you should do well on the leaderboard and it realistically helps any future share purchases

Monday sees the start of another month in this share comp (also LSE)

    http://www.stockchallenge.co.uk/
The prize is - four-month subscription to Morningstar Premium
Its good for tracking realistic possible gains from shares and learning imo. Reading 'how to' only works so far

Last month shorting JJB stock was a winner, 100% gain but I had no idea about the timing of this. Any dogeared company due to fall over in October

I got emailed another link for a free book, details here if you want to check it out http://uk.advfn.com/p.php?pid=hosted_solus&id=NjY4NQ==
