Three contract, impossible to cancel?

I tried to cancel my dongle contract with 3 as I'd just signed up to new contract with their MiFi in store, but ended up having 2 new contracts instead of one
Talk about doing your head in!! Wrote a complaint in and ended up with the cheaper of the 2 contracts (which I shouldn't have been allowed but it was a 'goodwill gesture') You'll get there eventually. Just (repeatedly) ask them to listen to you and don't respond to anything they say until you get your say across.
Good luck!!Wealth is what you're left with when all your money runs out0 -
Guys Dad, you said about getting a PAC code and using it. I don't really have any use for the PAC code except maybe a random giff gaff sim card if I can find it. Is it really necessary?
Strictly speaking, No. However, if you use it and buy a £10 PAG sim, then transfer your number to that, you are then 100% sure your contract has been cancelled.
You will see a number of threads on here where people have thought their contract was ended, cancelled their DD only to find people chasing them 3 years later.
I think it is a good £10 insurance, and if you buy an Orange sim, you can use it for Orange Wednesdays, as well as these 0845 numbers too.0 -
But presumably it would take the same amount of effort to get a PAC code from 3 as it is to cancel? Still as you say if you do get it and use it then its guaranteed that your contract is terminated.0

Worst company I have every used, even worse than BT and that’s saying something.
It took me 1 hour 43 minutes on the phone to get a PAC code on Monday. I just kept repeating “I just want my PAC code” but they kept going on and on and putting me on hold. Lucky I was only on a one month SIM only contract to even which they even said I could not cancel!
Total jokers, once the final payment has been taken I will make sure the direct debit is cancelled on my bank account.0 -
Can you post the "offers" they offered ?

For me they started with a free Blackberry then after 30 minutes or so it went to a free iphone all of which are useless to me on their network as I never have a signal - they just couldn’t seem to get their head around that. The free devices would have required me to have signed up to a 18 month contract.
Got a call from them last night also offering me a contract for £8 a month for life, 500 minutes and unlimited texts, again no good to me as I do not get a signal on their network. The person advised could I not just take the contract out as a back-up?

I think the main point here is that 3 are about the most difficult company to cancel with.
Uh oh, my contract runs out in 4 days and going to be trying to cancel it! Been with them a long time (mobile phone only) and already had one 25 minute pointless conversation with them about it.0 -

Just keep saying “I just want my PAC code” and nothing else. Also do not get off the phone until they give you the code, they will say it will be sent via text but dont trust them on this. Do not get off the phone till you get the code.
