False delivery claim

So, no matter who signs for it, the tracking will always show the name of the original signatory.
The tracking may well do, but don't forget that rinadharris said that the signature showed their first name (but obviously, if this is a fairly common name then it doesn't really mean too much).
IMO, I doubt if the driver would have nicked the package as it would be too easy for this to be proven, but even if nothing could be proved, the suspicion would still be hanging over them and if a second package ever got misplaced they would probably be straight out of the door.
I wouldn't be surprised to find that it was either the driver signing and then leaving the package by the door (and then someone else stole it), or they delivered it to a neighbour or to totally the wrong location.0
