Are you a food hoarder?

Yes i'm the worst food hoarder ever..
I have a pantry which contains over 500 tins of rice pudding among other items..It measures 2ft x 7ft x 8ft and I can't get another item in it, there are no shelves it's all stacked..
My freezer is so full I have to use brown parcel tape to keep items in it, it isn't small either it's a large American fridge/freezer...
My baby is 6 months, I have her nappies til she's 2, don't need washing powder for 2 years, I don't need to buy babyfood or toiletries..
I stocked up when it was cheap...
Then there's the spare room...I always take the moral high ground, it's lovely up here...0 -
I have stocked up on 20 Topic Bars x4 in a packet which were on offer at Tesco at £1 each! (on a rationed basis however as my teeth don't like it and I can't drink fizzy drinks anymore).
Plus I have massive stocks of Caramac Bars which are positively addictive, to be made into Caramac Cake a GFM recipe, and eat generally.
I have 10 small cans of baked beans tescos I like.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.
Reading whatever books I want to the rescue!:money::beer[/B

500 tins of rice pudding :eek::eek::eek::eek:, that made me smile!!!!Sam B0 -
Being a pensioner on a fixed income I have to budget carefully, so if things I would normally buy are on offer I will stock up, but won't get lots of things I don't normally buy. I might try something on offer to see what it's like, but I don't buy lots just 'cos it's cheap.
Rarely buy chocolate, crisps or buscuits. Cakes and biscuits I can make myself, most puddings I can make too, so no, on the whole I don't hoard, nor do I buy the most expensive brands.
Cheers, HG0 -
I stockpile

200 bags of chocolate buttons from Approved Foods a couple of weeks ago - not touched yet as they're on top of a cupboard.
I have loads of beans, tomatoes, noodles, pasta, loo roll, washing powder etc as I hate paying full price for something that's often on offer (oh & 3 bottles of Glenlivet while that was on offer
)
Hubby hasn't found the 80 Twix bars yet or they'd be gone (they're under the bed).Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!0 -
Yes I'm a stockpiler.
In the bathroom you will find loads of shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, soap - the loft is full of kitchen towels and toilet rolls courtesy of the last offer at Costco.
The top of the wardrobe in my sons room is full of small tins of green giant sweetcorn, ambrosia custard in little pots, baked beans, tetley teabags, tomato ketchup and I think salt. Up until recently I had a very mixed bag of stuff as it was all bought when my local Co-op/Somerfield closed and the bargains there were not to be repeated.
If you venture into the larder cupboard in the kitchen you are likely to find at least a dozen tins of soup, beans, chopped tomatoes, rolls of cling film and foil. If its cheap and I use it I always always buy extra. When both my sons were small I had enough nappies to probably kit out a nursery and as for stuff for Birthday and Christmas presents dont even go there!0
