morning all, ds3's birthday tomorrow so a busy day plan for today is

    -go to the dentist
-grab ds's fish to go in his brand new tank as his birthday pressie
-pay my national insurance in the post office for last year
-phone and make appointments for the kids
-fill in my free schools dinners and uniform allowance form
-collect kids and go get a cake (and some milk and cornflakes since they've eaten a whole box since thur!! glad there only 33p)
-bleach my kitchen now i've caught my mouse :)

No money in the savings today because we're off for a meal tomorrow for ds's birthday any thats left by the end of the week will get transfered over don't think there will be much, standing order to the savinsg start again on monday.

Few spends bring me to £8.65 (not including the cake) now since i'll need another milk and a sack of spuds before the weeks out i doubt i can come in under £10 lol however as you see in my soa i've allowed £50 a month as spuds cost £7 a bag at certain times of year and would just be too much of a wack from the weekly budget, sack of spuds lasts atleast 3 weeks usually more, As some of you know food shopping is my downfall so even if i manage £10 and a bag of spuds i'll still be happy.

Change to meal plan aswell because when i got back from the dentist mil was making the kids burgers, i didn't have any so i'm about to get a mug shot, they have asked for spagetti on toast for tea, if i give hubby that he'll freak (prob not we used to eat it but were not that poor now) so we're gonna have the 2 finest burgers from the glitch and a hotdog each, kids can have a sausage aswell :)...off for food now i'm starving

Amazingly i got no pain from my tooth at all yesterday and this morning, long may it last :) was looking at the price list in my dentist and the root canal i got done would have cost me £230!!! that would have bene even more depressing, it got me thinking we will lose our free dentist treatment one day possibly one day soon, is there a yearly charge you can get like scripts? (i'm in n.ireland btw if that matters)

No money saving or frugalness here today as my baby is 3!!! and he's def not my baby anymore, having a meal out tonight.

Meal last night was lovely and alot cheaper than expected :)

Just paid my next account, and my creditcard even tho it's not due yet.

Bought the kids 25 shirts off grabbits last night for school next year, now to be fair it was £4.50 for 5 where as last year the only ones i could find was £6 for 3 in tesco so it's less than half the price and will last 2 years.

Meal plans out the window again as we were home that late i forgot to lift gammon out, will have a nice pasta bake and garlic bread instead, all from the cupboards/freezer :)

OH yeah the glass fell out of the door of my oven, now since this isn't our house nor our oven i don't want to replace it so i'm trying to convince hubby to silicone it, he's wants me to just order a new one it's an old oven anyway, so for now i'm using the top oven and my slowcooker, if i can save £150-£200 on an oven i will.

Morning all, meal plan went out the window again i think i'm still in holiday mode, busy day today so not much happening here other than the washing on the line.

Will try again for pasta bake for dinner. Gonna make the kids sausage rolls and mushy peas for lunch, last time they had mushy peas they didn't like them and we don't like them so it's a surplus tin i figure i'll try again and if they don't eat them the dogs will.

Hi everyone, savings are back to £0 til the morning when i will have £230 in there (the money thats gone will go back in before we need it anyway)

Mil got the kids 2 new school jumpers and some new socks, only really need a few more jumpers now.

Physio recommended buying one of the boys completely new shoes, as there twins and were both there that meant a £38 on new shoes, the hope is that by the time he starts wearing one side of these ones down she'll have seen him and alteast refered him for insoles, Had to be done and i don't begrudge it at all.

Got a free pot of jam and were now on sunday with no takeaways :)

hubbys away for a few days, and turns out having only a top oven is abit of a pain so simple meal plan for this week

Unsure about lunches so it will be whatever i can be bothered to rustle up or maybe even a picnic.

    dinners

    mon-sausage rolls, mash and beans
    tue- spag bol
    wed- bol in pittas
    thur- sheperds pie
    fri- pizza and chips
sat- beans on toast with sausages, eggs and bacon
sun- soup and bread as lunch is at inlaws

I still havent been for that sack of spuds so i need to get that tomorrow aswell as some bread, bread and a bag of flour (i fancy making soem biccys and cheese scones)

Forgot to say we put £43 in our car on sat, we didn't drive much on it so i'm taking this from augusts total (hoping to knock a good bit off our fuel bills in teh summer months)

August budget starts now off to get the bits i spoke about yesterday and hopefully nothing else :)
