Hi, I got married 12 days ago (and I had only 12 days to plan it!). Registry office then back to ours for a garden party. Had close family and friends there and was an absolutely perfect day. I honestly wouldnt change anything about it. And it cost less than £200

We had an amazing day!
We also looked at Hamilton Racecourse. They do an an inclusive package and are extremely good at tailoring packages to your needs. For instance:-
Your wedding Ceremony at our weighing room gardens
* 1 glass of sparkling wine per person on arrival
* Three course meal for 80 guests
* 1 glass wine per person with dinner
* Our Dukes Suite for your wedding meal and reception
* White linen table covers and linen napkins
* White chair covers and ties (choice of tie colour)
* Fishbowl centre pieces and top table decoration
* Cake table and knife
* Table plan, menus and table names
* Evening buffet for 80 guests
This is £4500. Before we decided on Comlongon due to the location of most of our guests we were going to have Hamilton Park.
Lots of hotels also do winter deals or mid week packages. Hotels local to us also do fab deals for short notice weddings ie less than 3 months from booking to the wedding date which is worth asking about.
I omitted to say that although i only got married there three years ago to my long term partner, i'm now getting a divorce, but it was an absolutely fantastic day, and i re sold everything on ebay to recoup some of the costs, except the sword we used to cut the cake, i sent it to someone on here for their wedding.:rotfl:0 -
I could be completely wrong (it has been known:eek::eek::eek:)
I am sure I have read somewhere, the Holiday Inn do wedding packages for £999,

I hope the link worked,
Could be worth looking in to. hope this helps and whatever you decide to do, you will have a fab "big day!":money:Laugh and the world laughs with you:rotfl:

New Lanark Hotel - its a world heritage site, stunning venue and we hired a room there for 80 quid, had a Humanist wedding and 24 family members there. The staff were outstanding, the wedding planner is Debbie Love - apt or what. Also has a roof garden on top of the mill building, its gorge and makes for fab pics. We then had a meal of our spec there and took our own champers (they do charge corkage)
Then had a party at home.
Dress won on ebay, made in China, roughly 100 quid and bridesmaid dress from Karen Millen outlet shop. Cake from M&S and a bespoke cake topper from cakemates which was stunning. Flowers and photographer were our only 'expensive' items.Light Bulb Moment - 11th Nov 2004 - Debt Free Day - 25th Mar 2011 :j0
