Look at the map for that retailer and go watch your blue dot and walk around until your blue dot is nearing it - or just refresh to see how far away you are then walk off in a direction and see how much its changed then evetually you know which direction to walk off in to get to where the GPS 'thinks' the retailer/you are !

At some point though you'll start to think 'is it worth it?!' - maybe just skip this one and move on to the next - although if you are like me - its the challange of getting it that makes it fun!

I too kind of like the challenge, tried it in local shopping centre with a lot of check-ins and despite walking all round Marks and standing outside as the app suggests, zilch but it did pick up CFW two doors away perhaps because I was using there wifi.

Next tried in nearest Tesco, no problem and while in Tesco managed to check in at B&Q which is across two car parks. Then I tried JJB Sports which used to be next door to Tesco and it worked although the shop closed last year and is now something else. Twice I have reported it as being closed and funnily enough I got two emails after I checked in to say thank you store now removed.

M&S never shows up on my app for checking in. I've tried different branches but it never comes up for some reason. Is it just me or has anyone else found this?

I noticed today that you have to be less than 300 feet away from a shop for the app to let you check in. Thanks to whoever said about the other branches disappearing when you check in to one, I wondered if that was the case. Does anyone know for definite how long you have to wait for the stores to come back on your app or are they all different?

I noticed today that some stores were offering extra money if you share on Twitter or FB but I kept missing this because I was clicking on the check in button too quickly so make sure you check that there's not more money offered before you click that button!

I managed to get a Tesco and a Morrison when I was in traffic waiting on a red light (I wasn't driving at the time).

I also managed 6 stores from standing outside one store on the edge of a small retail park. I think the locator is a bit iffy, one Clarks store wouldn't let me check-in until I moved 300 metres away from it.

I did 12 check-ins on Wednesday and Thursday and none are showing for me now.

So far made £1.15.

I've had a bit more success, but the shop locations are hit and miss. I went to one and tire outside and failed, then I went in and up an escalator and tried and it failed and then I went back down and tried again a couple of feet from where I was and it succeeded. I have been right there at a shop and it's told me I'm half a mile away and then I've walked away from it across the car park and it's worked.

There is an option to report a problem and it asks if you are in the shop.

I've chalked up £4.40 now. I may go for a bike ride during the week to try and snag the remaining local ones.

Basically it's a bit of fun as far as I am concerned.

Since my original post with the big list , all those have gone dead for me. I still see things 5 miles away from my home town (in a retail park) but they are different retailers and not cost effective to get over there.

So its now 11th July and its basically back at end of June / first 2 days of July I first checked them all in so I am hoping it repeats after 2 weeks - will post to let you know. Very annoying that its totally gone dead for me now - walks are not nearly so much fun!

Same here. All last weeks' check-ins are not available.

Ditto for me. I'm up to £6.50 so definitely not complaining, but am getting no results whatsoever now. Be good to know how often they come back so am not having to check every day.

I noticed yesterday that you can't check in to different shops one after the other anymore. When I tried to check in to my second shop in town a message came up saying I had to wait a few minutes between check ins.

Like everyone else I'm finding last weeks check ins haven't become available yet so with this new restriction too its getting a bit annoying now!
