I am so happy I found this thread a few weeks ago :) the difference in my flat is amazing, despite being home at weekends atm. In 2.5 hrs this morning, I've caught up on washing, done a week's worth of dishes, cleaned all the worktops and made a dent in the bedroom tidying and recycling pile.

Not a massive amount when written down like that but I usually come to a disaster zone that makes me cry and this time I feel happy. And that is despite having people coming to visit tomorrow morning. And the diminuition in stress is fantastic.

Thank you all so much (all I'll post a proper list once I figure out what's wrong with posting on my comp)

Well, that's me done for today! Whatever's left undone now will remain so until next week and has been wiped off the list. I always breathe a sigh of relief when the children's bedrooms appear on the Friday list - there's only me and DH here, so the spare bedrooms hardly ever get used, except the small one as his computer playroom. He also has the garage for his railwaymania and other stuff, while the car sits outside in all weathers. The study is my space and I keep it the way I like it!

Pigpen, that grandchild of yours is delightful! I shall see my DGD tomorrow for a couple of hours. They live 100 miles from here, so it's a rare opportunity. She'll be 2 in September and her baby brother or sister is due in about 4 weeks' time :-))

A cup of coffee is called for, then I'll pack up a parcel to post this afternoon. Hopefully the plumber will come to look at the boiler before I have to go out (but DH will be in): everything works OK in the winter, but in summer we can only get hot water if we turn the central heating thermostat up high, and then we get the radiators coming on too, even in the heatwaves - and if we turn off the central heating programme altogether, leaving only the water heating programme on, we get no hot water at all. Totally mystifying...

    Morning all.

Hoppy Birdday to Pigpen's DD1 and to Dancemum and anyone else who's celebrating today:beer::beer::beer: - my head's a shed at present, as we've had the week from hell with Mr LW's work, and I, being the daft wotnot that I am, take on board all his stress. *rolls eyes* so I'm not retaining information very well.

However..... *dances unsteadily with aid of two walking sticks* Happy happy joy joy:rotfl:we've found some jeans for Mr LW!!!:T:T:T That's not as daft as you might think - he has short legs for a tall man, and we've been unable to find anything locally to fit him, that he likes, that we can afford.

Anyways... I saw an advert in the paper for 2 pairs of Chinos for £60 + £5 p&p, and they had them in the correct size, so as he wears Chinos for work ("smart casual" dress code) we bought some. They fitted. A look on the same company's website revealed jeans, in the correct size, for the same price. They came yesterday, and he's really pleased with them.:j:j:j I'd thought I was going to have to paint his legs blue, if we didn't get him some soon!:rotfl:

Flying is all complete for the week (we start the routine again tomorrow, with the tasks I can't manage on my own) so it's a quick swim into town this afternoon:D, (it's stair-rodding it outside as I type), and then eat a couple of frogs that have popped up when we get home.:o

ETA: Lovely pic, Piggers. Even I, the least baby-oriented woman on the planet, found it really cute!:D
