Wish we had a bus service, but I live so rural there is no chance. Going out in a couple of weeks, but Im going to have to drive as there is no way Im paying over £10 each way to get there and back especially if it ends up I dont have that much to drink anyway. I dont drink a lot as a rule anyway so its not too bad, but just for once Id like to be able to say I can have a few drinks as I dont have to drive. Oh well it was my choice to move out here and I still think its the best thing Ive ever done, not having a bus service is just one of those sacrifices Ive had to make in order to live here.

Today Im taking the DCs to the village fair (well I say its a fair, its just a tea cup ride and a hook a duck stall) this morning, DS wants to do a fun run this aft and we are going to the village hall tonight for a family night. I cant decide if Im looking forward to it or not as Ive found so far that things organised in the village aren't as exciting as they are made out. Also as yet I dont really know anyone and most people talk to those who they know so it may be me and DH in one corner. Only been here a few months and with it being the school hols Ive not had a chance to really talk to anybody much in the last few weeks.

Tomorrow its a car boot sale, duck race (we have our numbers) in the village.

So thats my weekend. Happy weekend everybody hope its all very fun filled for everyone.

Belated good morning all!

I had a lie in this morning and when I came downstairs picked up the paper off the mat and saw yet another Times hourly comp.

It's for a pair of Premier League football tickets to the team of your choice every hour today - may of interest to StokieBecks, but perhaps not to many others.

Apologies for not picking it up sooner - don't think it was advertised the The Times earlier in the week. I'll be going through today's paper with a fine toothcomb to try to spot if there's a Sunday Times hourly tomorrow.

Really hot here already and meant to get to over 30 today - not good for me as I hate the heat. DH is off to play cricket so planning a comping and catching up with my books reviews day.

oh forgot to say had my first 'win' in my married name - a book to review from Waterstones. Also had a letter today off Dominos Pizza who are denying their pizza made me ill but have sent me a £20 voucher (mmm might take me a while to want to order again but maybe i will order ben and jerries with it :rotfl:)

OMG I have just found Now dailies. How did I not know about it before? I've got Chat, Look, woman, Pick me up and Whats on TV. Now I have just seen Now. Maybe there was nothing I wanted to win before. At least it will up my entries.
