Hey everyone.
Postie didn't bring any wins for me but he did bring my DLA letter. I asked for my award to be looked at again due to my mobility being alot worse than when I was first awarded. It's taken 12-ish weeks but I got the letter this morning. I've been dreading it incase they took everything off of me, even though my care needs are still the same. Anyway, they've awarded me high-rate mobility and kept my care the same. Now I don't have to worry anymore, not until next year anyway! My award is only until 17/07/2013 as that's when my original award would have ended so not enough time left on the award to be able to get a Motability car but hopefully with the backpayment we'll receive, we can put that towards a secondhand car.
So, not a win from the comps board but still a kind of win in another way.:rotfl:
Oh, and DH helped me to have a shower. Now I feel clean.2019 Wins

Thank you. It will mean that I can get out more when I am able and as such take lots of new photos.I can't use public transport so the extra money will go on petrol for when DH takes me out.
The DLA form actually asks what you would do if you were granted DLA and I always put that it would enable me to be able to go out more in my wheelchair when able so that I can take new photos.:o It's the Photographer in me!afternoon all

I count myself very lucky that I have never had the fight that some people have. I have a very supportive GP and very supportive mental health team so I'm very lucky.
I came from an area where the healthcare left a lot to be desired, to an area where the healthcare is far better!2019 Wins

LadyM, brilliant news! :T I know from your posts how much pain you're in so I really hope his makes a difference for you xx
Been to pictures with the kids for the £1 movies, we watched Alvin & Chipmunks chipwrecked. Then took the kids for a KFC. Tried to get DD's cardigan for school, she can only have red but nowhere has her size! M&S are more hard wearing but I couldn't even order one as there's none in warehouse! I hope I can get her one before she goes back!Big thanks to all who contribute to the forums. Be lucky everyone and be safe!0 -
