LW - deffo second a Westie, my darling Baxter is now 14 and has been the most fantstic dog for the kids, big dog personality in a small dogs body - he,s now an old man, but still has his mad moments, so funny seeing him trying to chase his tail, then having to sit down for a bit of a rest, I think he forgets he,s getting on a bit LOL

Hope everyone has has a good day.

Bramble, guess today has not been the best day of your life but good for you for realising that it needed to end. It was actually my ex that realised it, I would have been happy for it to continue, but once we split I saw what he had seen! got through it with 2 kids and have now been with my OH for 9 happy years :D

    Evening all,

I am relieved Hester....hope that you have lots of luck with students.

Bramble....hugs, you did the kindest thing....if not right for you not right for either of you....

LW...loved the video...do take care of yourself, no more gardening please.

Its been a showery day to-day, seems colder now. Picked the ripe redcurrants and then some gooseberries....then upended the colander onto the grass...managed to pick most of them up, stewed gooseberries, currants and some rhubarb and had with yoghurt after dinner...nice. Not sure what will happen to currants when we go away, will tell my neighbour to help himself but have an idea that they have bushes themselves...hate waste but know nobody who would want them, around here most people grow their own....need to put on my thinking cap.

DS2 left this morning before I got up to go see DS3, not sure why but got very upset that he didn't say goodbye....won't see him now until after I come back from Oz....just had a text to say that he is home safe.

The dogs have been out all day, are now just in and want me to give them a cuddle...have become very attached to them since Kerry has been gone.

Hugs to all, stay safe and warm

Sorry been MIA for a while, though I do read most days.

Hugs for anyone who wants or needs one, I have plenty to go round. I know there are some people out there having a hard or sad time of it, I will keep you all in my thougbts and hope things get better for everyone.

Bramble - hope you are OK. It is hard at the moment but you will look back on this in a couple of years and realise it was the right decision, chin up, thinking of you.

Flutterby - I love Pinterest, could spend hours and hours just browsing...

Tappers, love the camper, would love to buy one and drive from Ireland across to Australia, not going to happen but a girl can dream...

Can't remember everyone who posted but hugs to all.

Keeping on the OS wagon as much as I can so shopping done in T**sco today, hopefully enough that I don't have to shop again for the month...
Mealplans sorta done, some days just might have to wing it.;)
Lunches made for tomorrow, DW to go on, need to do a wash but right now soaking my pins in warm soapy water so that I can give myself a HM pedicure:p Well, if OH can sit watching football all night I can have some me time...with a small glass of wine to help proceedings...

bramble1 ((hugs)) honey sorry to see your news but only you know how you feel and if your not happy with things thenwhat will be will be.My youngest DD tried with her first OH for almost 4 years before admiting it just wasn't right and now has been happily married to OH no.2 for 16+ years. She had been with her first OH since school days at 14 married at 17 and by 23 they had just drifted apart. All very painful all round at the time as she had my eldest granddaughter who was only 9 months old at the time, but far better to seperate than to go on making each other unhappy. You will find times when you maybe have doubts but if you are positive its what you want then better to cut the ties now for both of your sakes My ex-son-in-law has been with his new partner for 12 years and he too is far happier.Life is far too short to waste .We are all here for you if you are feeling down or just need to let off steam Good luck honey

Well tonight DGS Ben went off to his 'prom' looking amazing in his hired suit and I was so proud of him.He looked so grown up.I came home from Dds with a small take-away box of left over roasties that I will use up tomorrow night with my dinner.
Just off to have a read of my Kindle
Good night God bless all here
