Morning all, dry here but still windy. Hope the rain stays away as DH has to cut back lawn and I have washing to hang out. Need to nip to L**l to get some bits and then sort washing. DD may be persuaded to iron as her BF is going bike riding in the forest. She likes ironing especially if she can watch a film while she does it.
Hugs to all in need, esp Bramble, this has obviously been a long thought about decision but is still painful, stay strong and spoil yourself. Hope pup is well. Hope you enjoy many fun holidays in your new camper Taplady I'd love one of those.
Have a good day all and hope the sun shines where you are.:)

    Morning everyone :D

Been out early this morning to see the Olympic torch procession. Kids were mega excited about it and since it was 5 mins away we trotted along. Glad we did, loads of people lining the street, nice atmosphere, NO rain ;) now feel suprisingly shattered :o:rotfl:
Heading off to Aldi in a bit, out of cheese and a few other things so that will be shopping done for next week.
Suppose I ought to cut the lawn too while it's dry........:o
Someone give me a rocket up my @rse :rotfl:

Bramble I know it must hurt but I am glad you've done it. No point prolonging the pain. He won't see it right now but in the long term it's the best thing, for both of you xxxxx

Hugs and spoons all round. Have a lovely Sunday peeps xx

    Morning all

    Bramble - hugs x

Weather is very sun shine and showers this morning, with the emphasis on the showers.

Washing is still on the line from yesterday, I'm hoping it will dry at some stage. I never normally leave it out but felt very disjointed yesterday and went back to bed for the afternoon, woke at around 5pm and was back, fast asleep by 9, woke this morning at 8am...guess I needed the sleep.

Was hoping to go to the zoo today but DH is having a bad day and had a nasty fall in the shower yesterday, combined with the weather we've decided to give it a miss.

Swept all through, kitchen clean and tidy and two small chicken breasts out for tea, will do a chicken and veg risotto, DD2 isn't keen so will have beans on toast.
Need to put the BM on for some dough for rolls and might bung a load of veg in the SC for a soup when I'm chopping veg for risotto later.

Off to cut out some more hexis for my patchwork and wait for DDs to surface from their pits.

    Morning all

Bramble - The hardest part is making the decision. You've done that now so you can move on. It will be hard for you so look after yourself.

EG - hope you are all better now.

Tru - Hugs to you, stay strong.

Lazy day here, I stayed in bed reading till half 10, just made a cup of tea to drink while I was reading. Finished the book so on to another tonight! Work was ok last night and I was in for 10. Just put the washing on the line and will throw the hoover about in a while when I have had a shower.

I haven't done any baking for quite some time but am feeling the urge so may do some of that later. Roast chicken for dinner before I go off to work again, I am working 9 evenings in a row so hope it's quieter!

    Take care. XX

bramble ((hugs)) hope you're ok, have been reading your thread on the family board.
    pooky ((hugs)) for DH

Morning all. I'm going through clutter, old post and odds and sods today. I started on some patchwork last night trying a "cheat" technique I read about on a blog. I'm sure starting off with a quilt is way too ambitious and I will get overwhelmed but that's what I do :o
I looked through more of the patterns at my Nan's yesterday and it was funny how many of the patterns were exactly the same as what's been in fashion in the last few years. Nothing's really new, is it? I brought a knitting book home which tells you how to make all the essentials like socks, sleep suits, winter cardies, stylish (in the '50s but still now!) jumpers etc

    Hi all,

Bramble - ((Hugs)) it will get better, I got divorced 10 years Ago now, met my fab OH 5 years ago, finally moved in together at Xmas, best move I ever made xx

Was up early, WM on, DW emptied, did the weekly shop at Mr S, back home, OH cleaned kitchen, I did lounge, the rug had more dog hair on it than the dog does....

Deaf/mad cat caught a mouse last night, she was so chuffed that she bought it into the lounge and let it go whilst meowing tiumphanty, no idea were mouse has gone, even after turning the room upside down....... I,m sure it will turn up somewhere!!!!

Beef and orange stew in SC and bread dough resting at the mo ready for later.

Did the ironing whilst watching TV. Its almost painless since I bought a steam press at the beginning of the year.

And best of all DD been in all day without shouting at anyone, she may even stay for dinner, she,s done nothing to help mind you, but baby steps hey....

Have a fab rest of Sunday xx

I should do some housework! I have managed to wash some bedding, but really need to sort out living room and kitchen. Think these jobs can wait till tomorrow. I'm getting lost in a book and drinking wine currently.

OH is going to stay at his mum's for the week, then he'll come back here on Monday when I go to Cornwall and look after pup for the week, then we are going to chat and work out what to do next.

I have packed him a bag and am waiting for him to come collect it. But he's out with friends and probably drowning his sorrows.

bramble - All sounds good to me xx

Well what a productive day i've had.....most OS i've done in months :o.
Cooked F/Jacks, Victoria Sponge with butter cream and s/berry jam. Eggs boiled ready to make eggy mayo for DH's packed lunches (kids love em but won;'t take them to school :rotfl:), made a bread and butter pudding but forgot to butter the bread :o, i don't eat it so will not know if there is any difference :p. Roast is all ready to be snaffled even found a milk carton of what had written on it "decent gravy" :o so have defrosted that and put LO pork from freezer into it.
Have cleaned hens and ducks out, done 3 loads of washing, 2 put away, 1 still blowing. Asked DD1 to tidy her room washing basket it now overflowing .
Am just sifting through cook books for inspiration for my shopping list
You know your getting old when you
go to the pub sit outside
and admire the hanging basket
    Is officially 48% tight :D
