hi there i was just having a quick look for you on the Ryanair website for leaving 13 August and coming back 5 or 7 days later. I was looking from East Midlands as I was thinking this may be local but is birmingham the correct one? anyway flights out to say spain are good prices - less than £50 each - to majorca, Alicante, or Malaga but returns are more expensive by a long way - maybe spanish people coming to the olympics. return to Barcelona were coming in for about £70 return. If you could manage with hand luggage only you would only have to pay another £12 each return for credit card charges on top (just make sure you say no to anything else offered). i really hope you find something as I know how lovely it is to get a holiday away on your own. If you go on skyscanner and put everywhere as your chosen destination it will give you all the options.

I've never gone AI myself but looking at posts here and on tripadviser people seem to be able to do it. You could book it on one of the travel agents' own websites or with the hotel direct.

Its very easy. Although I don't do All Inclusive myself, preferring to eat outwith hotels

My starting place is always https://www.quickrooms.com
their results have a grid that makes it easy to scan all the board, stars and price options and price wise they are always at the races

If you see a good AI deal then you could then compare it via https://www.holidaynights.co.uk, https://www.hotelscombined.com, https://www.hotelscomparison.com and https://www.travelsupermarket.com

Those sites between them cover probably 95% of all the worthwhile booking companies

Could you ask for the money early? I know its abit cheeky but if you ask and explain the reason?
The reason I say that is the cheapest point to book a last minute package is 6wks to 3wks before. You are travelling very peak season so you really wouldnt get a good deal at the very last minute.

Flights are going to be very expensive anywhere in August, but if you went with Barcelona as someone suggested above, you do have the option of paying for hotel on check out if you book direct with someone like Sol/Melia for example.

If you could get the money early you would stand a much better chance of getting a good deal.

Edited to add: sorry just realised you said you asked your guests for cash, I thought you said parents. Sorry I dont think you could go and ask your guests for the cash early. Could you borrow the money? (thats what I would do) x
    £100 - £10,000
