Hi all, me and my partner get married august 10th and was planning on getting a last minute deal after the wedding, the plan is to go to the travel agents on the 13th and get a last minute all inclusive deal, the only places we dont want to go are turkey and tunisia.do you think this is possible to get a deal and go away within a week of the wedding?
Should also add i havent been abroad for 10years and OH 12 years so were a little rusty and have no idea how it works anymore.we have everything ready for our jollies anyway just need a good deal for 2

You're right in the middle of the peak season so you'd be lucky to get a good deal, and the choice is likely to be very limited.
You'd almost certainly be much better off DIY, booking flights and hotel separately but now rather than last minute.0 -
Hi Thanx, reason were going last minute is because we have asked our guests for cash towards a honeymoon and we havent saved enough ourselves to book one now so really does have to be last min.

Is it possible to wait till September for the honeymoon, you'll likely get a much better deal and much more choice.Hi Thanx, reason were going last minute is because we have asked our guests for cash towards a honeymoon and we havent saved enough ourselves to book one now so really does have to be last min.

You don't have to go on your honeymoon straight away. We delayed ours for over a month because we got a very good price on some plane tickets.
The more flexible you are are, the more likely that you will get a good deal.0 -

If you book flights & hotel separately you won't need to pay for the hotel now, which will be the biggest expense. So all you'll need to pay up front is the flights, insurance etc. You should be able to get flights reasonably cheap.
If you're sure you'll raise enough to pay for the hotel I think this would be a better option.0 -
Thanx for your help we will look into that.any idea which travel agents are the best?0

I doubt you'd get a good deal through a travel agent, or be able to pay for the hotel when you get there.
For flights see http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/cheap-flights
For hotels try some of the booking sites eg booking.com, or see http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/cheap-hotels
Some will want a credit card, some won't, but the vast majority won't charge anything till you arrive.
You'll need to sort out your own transfers etc but it's not usually too hard.0 -
Thank you for all your help, will have a look tonight once the kids are in bed0
