Glad things went well yesterday Willowbee.
It's so hot here today! I'm still wearing a cardigan in the office though because it's air conditioned and I don't want people seeing exactly how much of a sweaty betty I am (if you catch my drift...)
As for the daily question;
I love cats. I have a Norwegian Forest cat at my parents house, but she's getting old now (15 last month) and is not as agile as she used to be. My fantasy animal would be a tiger like the one in Aladdin (forgot his name now...) or a panther.Emergency Fund - £8572.39 / £10,000 :: Mortgage OP 2025 - £LISA 24/25 - £3200 / £4000 :: NSD 2025 - 2 / 150 :: Books Read: 1 / 52 :: Decluttering - 4 / 1000Engaged 9th December 2010 :: Married 29th October 2015 :: Bought a House 13th January 20170 -
Happy birthday Fiasco hope you have a lovely day.0

I had an in the other day. I got my repeat order of my bb cream (finally)! Not going on the naughty step for this as it is to wait in readiness for my current one when it runs out and as it took over a month to arrive, I'm glad I ordered when I did! After this tube is UU, I'll know roughly how long to expect from a tube.
Am baking some bread and rolls before it gets too hot today and then we're off to the beach. Hugh fearnley- Whittingstall is filming there so hopefully we'll get to see a bit of the filming
We have a cat. I brought her home when she was a tiny kitten as someone at school found her. DH is NOT a cat person (well, he wasn't!) but grudgingly looked at this tiny little kitten and said "well you'd better go and get it some toys and stuff then" (I'd warned the kids we may not be able to keep her but were just going to look after her until dad got home and had final say). Anyway, after the kids went to bed, the cat jumped up on him and went to sleep. She talks to him too which is funny to hear a non cat person telling his non cat person brother about!
We have slow worms in the garden, they are lovely to look at and we see them often as darn cat brings them in. We have bats and hedgehogs round here too.
Fantasy pet. Hmm, difficult one there. I would like chickens but we have a little garden so can't fit them in. Ducks too. Not sure about anything else. I'm a bit boring really aren't I?! Actually, I suppose it stems from a childhood with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, etc. at one point, we had 13 cats. The house was not very fresh let me tell you.

Do you have any pets and what creature would you like to have if there were no practical limits (and the animal was perfectly well cared for and happy?)
Glad it all went ok Willowbee, big hugs
We have a cat, she's my fave person in the whole world! She was a rescue cat (was dumped after having kittens, they weren't with her so don't know what happened to them) I would love to have more cats but she is very jealous and if I even stroke another cat in our garden she goes mental and chases them away
. My little girl loves her too - I think its so important for children to have pets, it teaches them to respect others and gives them someone warm and fluffy to cuddle up next to
. I've always wanted my own horse! But have never had the means to have one. Maybe one day!
Happy happy birthday Fiasco!
I'm afraid I need a slapped wrist ladies. Went a bit overboard at the L'Occitane freebie event last night (but blaming it on the free champagne and I hadn't eaten anything for dinner). I ended up buying:
- 5% shea butter ultra rich shower cream (to be used on my legs as I tend to get shaving rash)
- Pivoine flora roll-on eau de toilette (loved the fragrance!)
10% off so cost me £12.60 each. As it was over £25 it meant I could get the little Verbena kit for £12.50, so in that I got small bottles of the:
- Eau de toilette
- shampoo
- conditioner
- body lotion
- cooling hand cream gel
- shower gel
In my freebie kit I got:
- Pivoine Flora beauty milk (75ml)
- Pivoine Flora shower gel (75ml)
- Amande shower oil (35ml)
- 20% shea butter hand cream (15ml)
- Immortelle precious night cream (3ml)
- Sachet of creme radieuse hydration cream
- Sachet of regard radieux eye roll on
And I booked myself another half price massage (£25 for an hour) for the end of August. I've been really bad, think I did a whole year's worth of naughty beauty shopping in one night! Bad me, but I will enjoy these. :A"Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it."0 -

Hope you get to see the filming, we used to live near HFW and regularly saw him in the local shops etc, but didn't ever get to see any filming, like to identify villages etc when we watch him on TV.
Flippin hot here again (not complaining), I bad of famyard and 1 bag of compost spread, 3 more to go, then very long scrub in shower, getting nails done this afternoon ready for attending a wedding on Saturday. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Morning all.
Finished off the Ren detox mask last night, I got two full uses from the 5ml sample so very :money:imo. It really leaves my skin super soft.
Valm - I love Rebecca too and also read a book called Rebecca's tale but can't recall the author, that was good too. I read Daphne de Maurier's House on the Strand a bit back and totally loved it. Let us know what you think of Fifty Shades, tesco have a shelf full of them so I had a scan but couldn't find anything interesting, it has been slated a bit in some reviews as being repetitive and having unbelievable characters particularly the man.
I have a beautiful labrador whom we all adore. He is a mad thing but lots of fun. I have always had cats in the past but not at the moment. Both myself and DD ride and have a pony on full loan for her to ride, they are incredibly time consuming though. If I could I would have a little farm with lots of pigs, goats, sheep etc, no cows though, obviously none of them would be used for food so it wouldn't be a very profitable farm. Oh, I would have more labs too, I love them so much but can't afford to have another.
Glad it all went well yesterday willowbee.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

It feels like my birthday, my REN order, 5 AEngland nail polishes (sale) and a Chanel I bought from e-bay have all arrived this morning, giant pamper hour for me when I have finished in the garden:j
I easily resisted the LIB box and am deleting all promotional e-mails without reading them, so apart from buying the Alpha-H Liquid Gold with the free P&P and my £10 off, I hope that will be the end of purchasing for a few weeks, except I need something to style my hair, I will ask you knowlegable ladies for recs in due course. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. Wow everyone has been busy on here this morning.Willowbee hipe you had a good nights sleep.Pets - well I have 2 gorgeous tri-colour shetland sheepdogs (shelties), we absolutely adore them. DH works from home so can look after them and walk them during the day. The younger one Leo is like the energiser bunny he just keeps going and going. Leo has just turned 6 and we've had him since he was 10 weeks old, he was really tiny when we brought him home. Tim will be 7 next month and we got him just before his 2nd birthday, he was owned by an old couple who went down hill quite quickly and couldn't cope with him any more. I don't think he'd been walked for a while when we got him as he was overweight and couldn't walk very far (which is very sad for a 2 year old dog). He's much better now, but still has a tendancy to put weight on and can be rather lazy, in fact I'd say he's a completely different dog now.I agree with what has been said before about children having pets. We had dog (another sheltie) until I was about 14. It does teach you a lot. I was desperate to have another dog and was so happy when DH said we could get one. If I could have any pet/s I'd just have more shelties, I love dogs and these are lovely dogs with a fantastic temperament and great personalities.Sorry for rambling on for so long0

Thank you Fiasco and Valm for your replies re the Susan Hill books, sounds like they are a bit hit and miss, maybe I should avoid reading anymore unless I come across one thats highly rated.0
