Spoke too soon - found Grape on 3 legs this morning, couldnt put her wounded leg down at all. Shes got cellulitis, which is just about one of the most painful thigns that can happen (human or animal) so shes back in her stable and Im now trying to work out how to make her favourite lickalike to attempt to save a bit of money...
No ins or outs today - think I may be done for the month, though I think theres another facemask in the tube that I got as part of my sunswap - so might use that tonight...
Holiday home? simple - a windmill (cos Id love to live in one!) in Devon. theres something incredibly restful about the county for me - no matter how cross or wound up I am, as soon as I go past the "welcome to Devon" sign its like a big cloud has been lifted.Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -

Nothing much to report but well done Mingle:j
I'm an Energy Efficiency Officer and love it but I'd swap for a job in Tesco if I could be in North Devon/Cornwall. Not too fussed just love the Atlantic coastline and it feels more like home than anyway else.Debt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -
Tons of splutters, but no UU's.
Hope Grape gets better! I'm rooting for her quick recovery
Rosemary - hope your DH remembers (fingers crossed).
I don't know UK well enough, so I have no idea where a good UK holiday spot would be, but if I could I would have a spot on Santorini (day dreaming lol)No Buying Unnecessary Toiletries Challenge
TOTAL UU's in 2012: 588
Total UU's in 2013: 210

The north Wales coast for me. Love, love, love Wales. The north feels like a different country. The buildings look different to England and it just feels foreign, in a good way! Would have to bring my own specially designed microclimate though.......
I've got UUs. Two are make up ones, which is quite exciting.
Bobbi Brown luminizing foundation. Lasted a long time. Coverage probably a bit heavy for me; used it up by mixing it with moisturiser to make my own tinted moisturiser. WNBA but a big fan of Bobbi Brown products generally. They have the best colours.
Lancôme juicy tube in violette. This was a special edition from 2004 or something, which tells you how bad I am at using up make up. It was lovely of course, but juicy tubes are just so expensive aren't they? I've found the bargain alternatives to be just as good. So WNBA.
Aussie shampoo. Lasted really well but gave up the ghost today during post-run shower. Really nice and smelled gorge. WBA.
Congrats on graduation and birthdays.
Anyway, my good news is I think I may have graduated in everything bar fake tan (and make up, obviously, but there's so much of it I think I'll just need to keep plugging away at it and restrict myself from buying any eyeshadow, eyeliner or blusher for the rest of my life). I will be frantically using up my many fake tan products now. I hear great reports of St Moriz but restraining myself until current stash exhausted.0 -
Holiday home in UK is an easy one. It has to be Cornwall, my favourite place in the world. Abroad would be in Peru, I love it almost as much as Cornwall!
I've persevered with the L'Oreal BB cream after not liking it at first and I'm glad I did, I'm starting to like it.0 -
Hello!
Sorry that I went AWOL. I've love being here - it's my happy place!
In stark contrast I've spent the last two weeks fighting to find out if I could have my WCA recorded and on the day it was due to happen I had a phone call from my MP's rather brilliant assistant to say that she had managed to get it postponed! She was just in the nick of time  I had tried so many other people and things are still on the go (I wish I could say what...)
If anyone is interested, this is what the prob was:
http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2012/jul/20/fitness-for-work-tests-technical-chaos
"technical chaos" is being v polite. They (Atos/DWP) don't want people to have a recording and are doing everything they can to bully you out of it. All the research was worth it but I'm totally knackered now
It has cheered me up getting back into the thread. I have no UUs as I've barely been remembering to wash (!) I've been enjoying using the REN moisturiser from Red though :rotfl:
Thank you for all the kind/sweet words about my Grandmother. Her funeral is on Wednesday and at the moment I don't feel very well prepared for it. I'm hoping to get a good sleep and start to re-engage with normal life tomorrow!
Lilly - wishing you a late HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Mingle - huuuuuuge congrats on your First!! You must be so pleased :j:j:j You're so pretty!(And brainy. Clearly!)
I like the new Q of the Day. I'll have a nice little cottage on the Cornish coast, please. :rotfl: I feel very at home there. Or a swish flat (or townhouse!) in Dublin.
Like Lilly, I'm unable to work and I also like to eat Minstrels! :rotfl: In an able-bodied life I may have liked to have been a journalist. I was more likely to end up as an artist/musician though. I wish I had some energy! There's so much I'd like to do...
Lovely to be back. Time to concentrate on some splutterers! :rotfl:0 -
I'm clearly too fickle for these question answering thingies. My UK holiday home would be anywhere pretty really because I love the UK! Abroad, hmmm, I have loved France when we've been there but haven't really travelled much. Probably choose the Loire valley though. It's beautiful there

I shouldn't speed read, I misread your comment as had a massage not message and thought gosh, I know she gets up early, but that is cracking on with it:rotfl::rotfl:
Holiday home, mine would be Lake District too, but Keswick area on lakeside, I cannot walk the fells and waiting to find out if I will ever be able to do so again, but would enjoy looking at them and riding the little ferries and catching the bus up Borrowdale. Abroad - not sure, I cannot be a**ed with flying too much, hate he waiting around, but did fall in love with Seville and Cadiz so probably one of those.
Nails are Rimmel Stormy Skies love it, even lady in posh dress shop admired my nails yesterday:cool:, now blinging away topped with Revlon Radiant, redo them tonight. My leading lilac has arrived:j
Happy Saturday, sunny here, got OH geared up for gardening duty, which will necessitate scones being made to keep him happy:rotfl:
It would be so nice if I could get a massage at home!! We went into Keswick last time we visited the Lakes but I prefer Kendal myself. I also love Hawkshead. If we don't stay in Kendal we stay in a timeshare at Carnforth and love it there though we do have to travel out to see anything as there's nothing much in Carnforth. We were trying to book there for our hols next year but it's already booked up! We're staying at a place in Burton on Trent instead - hope next Summer is a lot better than this year's.
Enjoy playing with your Leading Lilac. I spotted Ciate caviar polish on QVC website yesterday. Not sure that I would order this until I'd had it done professionally to see how it's done as it sounds a little messy.Rosemary - not sure if you have a Morrisons close by, but I have always found flowers from there last much longer than from other supermarkets.
No UU recently but I have to make a start on a scrub tomoro. Not sure if I should open sugar crush or Amazing grace........? What to do??????

The flowers from Aldi are always good as well.
oooh I love Sugar Scrub and have always wanted the Amazing Grace one. If it was me I'd go for the Amazing Grace one. Who knows if QVC have any of those left on clearance when I get back from my holiday I think I'll treat myself.sunshineyday wrote: »ins
ciate caviar manicure in white
squillions of copies of glamour just to get more balance me face wash
l'oreal sublime bronze self tan lotion, was quite peeved after I bought this - minutes after buying this I went into the store next door to find it £4 cheaper, I did go back to the original shop but they wouldn't refund me, they offered a credit note but I'm wary of these in today's climate. It will teach me to shop around!
bunch up on the naughty step girls I need to sit down!
happy pampering, xo
As mentioned above I saw the ciate caviar on sale on QVC site. Is white the colour of the beads or the polish? QVC are selling them in duos so you get a polish with co-ordinating beads. Let us know how you get on with it?
You remind me of me all those years ago snapping up loads of INstyle mags for the PCMC.
I was shopping around looking for bits to put in goodie bags for Emma's party next week at Pizza Hut. It was good fun - from Primark I picked up some phone charms, bangles and hair bobbles (these two were sets that can be split down between the 6 girls and all sets reduced). I then went into Savers and bought them a chocolate face mask each. It was in there that I saw the V05 shampoo we use (although not the variation of it that we use) greatly reduced. The big bottle I buy from Sainsbury's is £3.90 whereas in there it's £1.99 - such a shame they didn't have the Give me Moisture one.
I also picked up some shorts from Sainsbury's reduced to half price and the crops that I bought from Primark have been reduced so picked up a couple more pairs. I realised yesterday that I have now lost 10% of my initial body weight. Size 16s are feeling that little more comfortable. Yay. xBack for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!
