Congratulations Mingle!
I gave in to Boots offer on Botanics: 1/3rd off and 100 points from the ACM:
Botanics facial oil 25ml.
I have a sample of Kiehls' Midnight Recovery which is lovely but I can't justify the full price! This will have to do.0 -
Congrats Mingle!! Lovely pic - and a FIRST! Well done.
I work as an Adult Education e-Tutor from home.
I used to also work as a Literacy & Numeracy tutor in the community for the county council but all the tutors from that job are in the process of being made redundant. :0(
The current job involves me supporting learners who are studying the equivalent of GCSE's in Maths online, calling them up for a chat and emailing them. I really enjoy this job as it is so flexible. I can work any hours that suit me and if I need to have time off short notice it's no problem.
I will be packing toiletries for a few days away over the w'end, don't anticipate any UU's as everything seems to be half full or full at the moment. I'll be taking my Almay face cream which has a SPF 30, more in hope than anticipation.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... Rosemary - eeeeeeewwwwwwww !!!! Hope the cat is ok now? Praps she didnt like those shoes either
Mingle - go you! well done lady, hope you were suitably spoiled??
2 UUs for me - the Lumi moisturiser samples that were part of my sunshine swap. WIB? Possibly, I quite liked it - though each one did me one day, so its hard to tell how it would go long term (does that make sense?)
Not loving the Balance Me moisturiser very much - it doesnt leave me feeling very moisturised, and I definately am not a fan of the smell. Determined to use it up before I open the REN set (from Red mag) though, or it wont get used (though I may yet use it on my feet, then if I like the Ren stuff I might manage to find a new one before the magazines disappear)
Grape went back out in the field today - yay !! Shes still got a big wound - but its filled in enough that she needs to get the air to it and start moving about - next visit is next Wednesday.... thankyou for all the kind comments and thoughts about her, Im sure it helps !Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -

Scrappie - you got me thinking. In efforts to get to know each other better maybe we should have daily questions?
I will start....(anyone can ask questions)
What do you do for a living?
I am a Conveyancing Assistant. It's a role that I have returned to since January this year after a 3 year break (not self imposed - was made redundant). I do still like the role but not sure I want to keep doing it as I'm finding the stress of it hard to adjust to. I'm 43 and I think it's a role for a younger person without any family commitments.Have a little in but it is guilt free as it is for DD's eczema. A little pot of Moa Green Balm to try, she finishes school today so I will be able to apply more often and hopefully clear it up as one finger has rubbed into a blister where using her pen a lot at school has rubbed through the thin skin - ouch. Am trying to avoid the docs as they just give you steroid cream which works miracles until you stop using it but if this balm doesn't work I will take he and just tell them I don't want steroid cream.
I found that L'Occitane Lavender hand cream worked great for my dermatitus and I haven't suffered from this for years since using it. I know maddiemay suffers from eczema and says that the L'Occitane liquid soap helps it. I got tired of going to the GP as well as they only ever prescribed steroid cream or that awful doublebase emolent.rosemary54 wrote: »re last post, just rechecked my order and it was for £86 using a £15 coupon so should have got the bag and extra goody!do you think cos I used a coupon they should be able to only send me the cheaper gift????
I'd go back and ask rosemary. In Boots you get savings on the gross amount spent so why not them?Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. ooh - forgot the "what do you do" question - Im an equine veterinary nurse. Not qualified, fell into it by accident and discovered Im not all that bad at it (well good enough for them to ask me back after I left for 2 years to go back to racing!!!) Stuck it out for 11 years first time round (ending up with 6 years as head nurse) and Ive been back there 5 years at the beginning of this month. Still dont want to qualify, still cant think of anything I want to do particually - Im not a grown up yet (38) so theres no rush IMO !!!! Its all change at our place soon though, and Im hoping they will let me come off nursing and be a groom there and be in charge of the laboratory as well, I much prefer the lab stuff to most of the nursing.
oh - and Im a small time breeder of racehorses (sounds awfully grand doesnt it!!) Ive got two broodmares/walking vets bills one is in foal and due at the end of January next year (and says hello to everyone!) and the other is waiting to go off to stud next Feb. Hopefully to provide me with lots of very valuable clever talented babies !!Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0 -

Minstrel anyone
Happy belated birthday. No thanks to the Minstrel also. I don't like chocolates within a crispy shell.
Question for today: If you were to buy a holiday home where would it be? For me, if I was buying in the UK it would be Kendal. Love that part of the Lake District very much. If it was abroad it would be Mijas on the Costa Del Sol though it's very hilly so wouldn't have to leave it too late in life to buy.
My new hair colour is very glossy and the cut swishy. Makes me feel fab. Going to Boots today to collect my new sunglasses and also need to collect a bikini from Tesco for Emma.
Repainted my nails last night and am wearing OPI It's a Doozi Says Suzi. It's a colour that I've owned for years but hardly wear. On fb yesterday I saw that the new OPI collection is released early August. Saw some photos and the colours are calling me. Think I'll wait until they arrive on QVC.
Have had a message this morning on MUA for a swap for one of my Elemis Fragipani Monoi Melt oils. Usually I am really fussy and if I have lots of a particular product in stash won't swap to add to it but I really want to get rid of these oils so at the moment I am deciding between swapping for a Nars Illuminator or a Chanel blush. Think I may go for the blush ever though I have plenty of blush however the colour being offered is a US exclusive and is peachy. I don't have any that are peachy.
Enjoy your Saturday everyone.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Happy days - the sun is shining.
If I was to buy a UK holiday home it would be in the Peak District - love the walking there or maybe a remote cottage at the top of North Yorkshire - very dramatic landscape. Outside of the UK it would either be the french or italian countryside or really anywhere that the Hairy Bikers went on their bakeation, I so wanted to go with them on that trip, interesting people and places and gorgeous baking, what more could you want.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
