I have an 'in' - the last Elemis TSV, I had it on waitlist and it came this morning. I'm in two minds whether to keep it or not. I love PCMC, and there is a 30ml pot of that in the kit and I don't think I have any more in my stash. But, I started using a Decleor moisturiser last month which is cheaper and is working really well. If I keep the kit I could save the PCMC for Jan, when I know my skin will need more moisture and split the other bits up for gifts - a couple of friends birthdays coming up late in the year. What to do?????????

Hi Scrappie. If it was me I would keep the kit if you know you will use the PCMC at a later date and if you know you can gift the other items too.
Please can I join in? *Shuffles feet* I've been sort of participating by reading the thread, but haven't been all that good this last month :S

I have also been trying to use up the nice stuff after reading about the PRCP on here so thank you for that! It's funny, when you have a special occasion to dress up for you don't tend to have the time to deviate from the tried and tested routine generally, but you don't get the posh stuff out when you do have time because "you aren't doing anything special" and so the stuff never gets used!!

So having finally realised this, I'm using the posh shampoo/conditioner I bought from a hairdresser eons ago (I don't go to posh salons now, I've acquired a mate who happens to be a fully qualified hairdresser and will do it for a tenner!), and I'm using the gift sets and the nice body butters. At least thats the plan.

I often find myself reaching for a product in the shops because I'm nearly at the end of my current one just because I don't want to dip into the nice stuff, well that is going to change!

My mission is to only have in stock what I'm using, and to only buy new products when the one i'm using is more than halfway done.

    That'll take a while!!

    Lovely to meet you all!

Welcome Blue Elephant. I think a lot of us here have learnt that there's no point saving the nice products for later. I've not had it happen to me yet but it must be sickening to open something or to go back to something to find it's gone off. Get on and use them. Be sure to post what you use on here because you'll find that one of us will know where you can replace the product on a good offer.

Am going to try and get the samples and sachets under a bit more control this month!

Wow that's an impressive list ilovecakes. Where have all your samples come from? I see you mention Alpha H Liquid Gold. Is it any good? I've seen it on the Q a few times but still can't get a handle on what kind of skin it's intended for or what it does!

Good morning everyone! up early and ready for work.

I forgot to say - WELCOME NEWBIES! welcome to the madness hehe

    So UU's already this morning:
Bare Minerals in light - small sample pot - this lasted about a week. I love this stuff, on it's own or on top of my bb cream. I really need a bit pot of this.

Boots nail polish remover - This is my cheapie polish remover that I buy fro £1. It is all acetone and harsh on my cuticles, but sometimes I go for the cheap stuff so I can allocate the money saved on other things that I love like Chanel nail polish lol - so I wba.

I'm also a few spritz away from finishing my leave in conditioner, so that will probably be a UU tomorrow.

Overall, I am determined to get my toiletries stash under control this month and move onto my makeup.

oopsy forgot to mention....I'm GA about 10 items from my stash for the sunswap. Obviously I'm not going to list what it is as I don't want to ruin the surprise :)

    HAVE A GREAT DAY LADIES!!!!

    Hi All,

I'm definitely back in for July!

Thanks to Kiplingmonkey for starting the new thread.

Totals for June were UU 32, IN 27 (mostly gifted) - by far my closest month to date and the most difficult - the first one where I've really held off replacing products I didn't have more of in the stash once they'd gone. Instead I found similar alternatives I already had so I guess thats very MSE. :T

This month I suspect I may be tempted to start acquiring products for hols, but as we're not going until September I really could wait! :o I might try and pacify myself by stash shopping as I've a fair few bits and pieces there that could be put to one side - particularly samples from LIB boxes which will be the perfect size for a week away. I usually spend a fortune on buying all new toiletries and, less so, makeup to go away so will be kind of fun to see how much I can find in the stash and save some pennies.

Will post new stash list once I've updated it.

    Ems x
  • I'm in again - i would like to use up at least one S and G product this month. They're never ending!

I'm in for July. Thank you to KM for starting us off again.

Catriona - hope all goes well on Tuesday

Scrappie - hope your Mum is coping OK.

    Welcome newbies.

I don't shop on QVC but DH had it on this morning (weird as he never watches it) and it reminded me of the super sunday, had a look online but not interested in anything.

First day of cold turkey but I have remembered that Glamour are doing the Balance me stuff with the mag this month (I think) so I will see how I feel when it comes out.

Valm - hope you have a good day at Cheshire Oaks.

I'm IN! I will need to buy some moisuriser soon as almost out through also trying to use some of the fake tan ones I've aquired..using Dove at the minute which I like and doesn't have a nasty smell. I do have some Johnsons hol skin ones which I'm not so keen on the smell, its a bit naughty but I'm hoping being as they have been open ages they will be gone off but I bet no such luck lol. Not tempted by TVC today so that's a start.

Start a new job tomorrow and going to try and remember to wear makeup most days because that stash is never ending and barely used!
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales

    Super sunday on the Q

Elemis, ABC, Perfect Formula, Ojon, New Cid and Yankee Candles!! 3 TSV's per hr, all day....................................

Not that I'm trying to tempt anyone:o

    :wave:Hello to Blue Elephant and
OrganisingMyLife. Hope you have fun on here, we're a nice bunch. Get your stash list up when you have time so we can all have a nosey!

    Catriona
    - good luck for Tuesday. Just think, you can spend Wednesday relaxing with NOTHING to do - you deserve it.

Valm - I will be keeping the TSV. The posh bath elixer that's in there, I will be giving to mum when she has finished radiotherapy and can use skincare again. A little celebration of 'treatment complete'. I also think there is a pro-radience cleanser too - so will take that on my hols in winter.

Rosemary -smile hunny!! Sometimes I think it would be nice if we all lived close by, so we could pop round with cake on days like this. Sending you hugs. Go and do something nice for yourself today.

    Happy Sunday everyone:)

    Hi VALM,

I only started using the Liquid Gold this week but it has made my skin really soft and seems to have smoothed out a few of the very fine lines around my nose and some pigmentation I had from having acne as a teenager appears to be fading. I think it is for all skin types but particularly useful for people with acne scarring and anti ageing concerns - its just a chemical exfoliator so encouraged skin renewal (I think). I read about it on Beauty Mouth (a blog I am addicted to).

I have never watched QVC but I got it from their website because the eye cream came free (am also impressed with this).

I do have a LOT of samples, partly because I never use them, I always think its a shame to because I like looking at mini things (this is very sad...). They have come from all sorts of places - I sometimes get the LIB boxes and the mini beauty box, I have had a couple of glossyboxes but am not really impressed with them.

I got a load of samples in Boots at the Trafford Centre a couple of weeks ago when they had an event on. I was just in buying nappies but got accosted by a lovely Clarins man who gave me a skincare consultation and lots of samples, then the Vichy lady did the same. My mum also sends me samples she gets in magazines and I am always looking at the freebies board!
