make notes of the dayes/times this person/number rings.

then contact your local police , they can charge the person with harrasment, maybe even stalking. And o2 then HAVE to by law release the details to the police for this charge to be brought forward.

You could also contact o2 directly and let them know that you are receiving nuisance calls from a number on there network. They will keep an eye on that number , and if they feel there network is being abused , will terminate that persons phone.

There is a database ... it's only available to employees of O2 though due to the data protection act. Would you like all of your details (even just your name) being made available on the internet for people to check against?

Just imagine all of the nuisance calls you would get if people could do that.

"Hello, is that so-and-so" (name got from database) "would you like a free new kitchen" etc etc...

Whilst O2 will have details for some of its customers, there are millions of its users who have unregisted pay as you go service, complete with their own O2 number. You could be looking for info. that even O2 don't have.

These are sim cards often given away for free to unknown people. Some people then choose not to register them, and just use them. You might be lucky and the calls may be coming from a known o2 customer. It isn't right for you to expect to be given personal details of their customers though. This should remain confidential, unless any police work reveals it to you.

If you're getting nuisance calls, I recommend that you contact the police and the network. They work together on this and can help prevent nuisances and may suggest/offer you a free number change and other sensible advice.

    Good luck! Rob
