  • just a footnote here.. We booked at Haven Lakeland for 21st September, and were accepted, given a reference, and we paid the due deposit. Then, 2 days before going, when everything was packed and organised. We got a phone call from the site to say, sorry, we overbooked. They offered another date, or another site. Unfortunately the date could no way be altered, and the sites they offered ? one in Cornwall and one in Scotland.. BOTH, are 300/400 miles away !

What a let down ! Has this happened to anyone else ?

OMG i'd have been tamping !

What are Haven doing about it for you ?!
  • Hi Rachie.. All they did was to send the £38 deposit back and apologise. I then contacted them to say they had refunded £1.50 short because I had paid this extra on their demand ( debit card payment )..

Anyway, I got a phone call from them to say the £1.50 extra is on its way.. Very generous ( ha !)

    Yes, I am still ( tamping ? ).. I guess this means, seething ? :-)

This is a really old thread last used for the October 2012 promotion ...

The code words for the current July 2014 promotion are in the first post of this thread
