Help - QVC will not co-operate!

I think it does count for something - it could be argued that this created a contractual obligation in itself, so the six year argument may be a red herring. It is one of those cases that with all the legal arguments in the world, would eventually come down to which viewpoint the district judge favoured - hence my saying it is not clear cut0 -
Hi everyone,
I would firstly just like to give my thanks to everyone who have read and posted on this subject.
I will keep you informed of anything that happens.
In the meantime I will be emailing QVC's solicitor tomorrow, to have her confirm QVC's address so I can have a County Court Judgement served on them and give her 14 days to reply and I will say, if she fails to respond, I will use their head office address at Marco Polo House.
I also have a mind to complain to the Legal Ombudsman about the way she has conducted this, i.e. she, as a representative of QVC have agreed that if I send all that I have back to them, they will send me a refund in full, and 11 weeks later....
Does anyone, whilst they may see both sides of this story, agree that QVC have been somewhat negligent in their initial selling of these items (and remember, there were more than just myself that bought these, even if they were limited in numbers), with having no due diligence records, having no thoughts of correcting their mistake regarding the authenticity of those items (or even countering my experts allagations, with their own expert) and giving proper recompense and now that they've got everything from me under an agreement through my solicitor, are ignoring me?
I'd never given QVC much thought in the past, except that they were a worldwide shopping channel and may have had something of interest to sell from time to time, but this has changed my mind about them (and their legal representatives) forever, and not in a positive way.
I really do feel like this corporate giant feels that I am very insignificant and think I will just give up and go away.0 -
QVC are no longer at Marco Polo House, they have recently relocated so do check the address.0

Thanks to all for the address update.
By the way, my solicitor wrote to me on Tuesday to say that he had been in touch with QVC's legal department and that he would let me know what was said.
He then emailed me back to say that he needed to phone the legal department yesterday morning (not sure why, he's not explained that one yet!), and guess what, I've still heard nothing from them or my solicitor!!
I've just emailed mind to ask what was the nature of his conversation with them and if I've not heard nothing by 6pm tonight, first thing tomorrow morning, I will send their legal department an email direct, asking them for confirmation of the address I can have a CCJ issued to and at the same time, warning that I will be in touch with the Legal Ombudsman to report this case and her (for what its worth!) and to see if he can do anything. Always worth a try.
I will give her 14 days to respond, or otherwise I will use the Chiswick Park address for the CCJ.0 -
Hi,
I dont wish to throw water on all this, but I am a dealer in gaming cards, and used to buy wholesale from Mr Epstein at Cards Inc.
I also used to collect the occasional autograph, and I know for a fact that he had many stars into the Cards Inc office to sign collectibles (I could tell you some tales about how some of them behaved!)
Cards Inc also used to part sponsor the Collectormania shows, which are still running, and they used to get items signed at those.
From memory, both Andy Serkis and Ian Holm appeared at those shows.
I am not saying that what you have are real, but Cards Inc do have a provenance for authentic autographs.
Cheers,

Many thanks for your observations and taking the time to update this thread and give me some insight.
I have been more than happy when dealing with QVC, to hear from their own independant expert, so that I had a balanced view point, but all I have got is the opinion of one expert.
He could be wrong.
However, there is something else I did not mention in my original post (I was still trying to keep it short!).
I had been to another autograph collector in the very first instance. Just to see what they were worth and if he'd make me an offer.
He told me that in his own opinion, they were fake signatures (I actually almost had a row with him, as I said QVC should surely be reputable and not have sold something that was even remotely fake. They would have done all the right checks etc, said I. Thinking he was trying it on and make me a silly offer, but no. He did not want them), but he was only a part-time dealer and wasn't qualified to make any reports on them and that if why I then sought out someone else as an expert and one that could confirm or deny and provide me with a written report to QVC, and that happened to be Mr Gerry King.
In effect, I have had two independant assessments, both saying the same thing, but only one of them is affiliated to any sort of organisation.
Many thanks0 -
