  • Well had a really busy day at work and finally got home around 9. Got up at 6 to go to the gym before work so really pleased with myself as got in and still did a whizz round the kitchen - really doesn't take that long when regularly flying and trying to clear up as I go along. So today...

    Kitchen
    1. [STRIKE]Wipe down all worktops, cupboard doors, drawer fronts and windowsill.
    2. Clean top of cooker, inside of fridge and microwave.
    3. Clean sink, draining board and wash any plastic drainers/cutlery holders[/STRIKE].
    4. Sort out fridge make sure anything that needs using soon is at front did this when I did the shopping end of last week so no need to do again
    5. Clean washer drawer out, clean filter in dishwasher if you have one not done but not the end of the world
6, [STRIKE]If you didn't do the oven last week have a go this week[/STRIKE]did last week
    8. [STRIKE]Wipe the washer and freezer front make sure those appliances sparkle
    9. Clean floor[/STRIKE]
    10. Clean window left this as done last week

Also did the outside of the bin - inside wasn't too bad that I recall but will check when I empty the bin tomorrow night before bin day Wednesday.

Haven't time to do any extras this evening (and probably not all week to be honest) but pretty pleased I managed to get the kitchen done. Kept me moving - got horribly cold all of a sudden. Hope the snow doesn't reach us here!!
Proud to be dealing with my debts
  • Tired today but managed to tidy up and DD has tidied out kitchen. Did most of the house at the weekend so still looking ok. Made weetabix brownies tonight and kids loved them. Woohoo!!! Cheap as chips and popular.:T . Have spent tonight playing with my new phone. Not exactly in the budget but ho hum!! I am horrified at what I must have spent before. I may still be rubbish at this but at least I am now aware. Used my CC this month twice though. Hadn't used it since before christmas   Need to get my act together. Like NOW.
5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
    Currently CC £23,674.36 /£14,895.41/£14315.42
    Mortgage £28,214.65/ £26,254.71/ £25,746.43
    By end 2020 I want CC at £ 19,000.00.
By end 2021 I want CC at £10,000.00

    Hiya
I've managed the kitchen today but not the downstairs loo, will do that tomorrow. Only just finished the kitchen as i've been working until about an hour ago. I've got a really busy week but i'll try and keep up with a room a day. We're all still very snotty three weeks after our cold so if anyone knows any good remedies to sort us out please tell. So far i've inhaled steam and eucaliptus (sorry about spelling but i'm tired!) and i've tried steam inhalations for everyone too. No luck! We are a tissue mountain!
    Hope everyone's well. xx

Hello everyone... first time of really Fly-Ladying (but I understand the principles etc) I think I've cottoned on to the thread, in as much as the daily jobs are posted and I can adapt it to myself...?

I work fulltime and have a total mess for a house. I'm going to adapt this list to suit me more at the mo, until I'm on top of the mess and can follow in full swing. Soooooo, tomorrow's plans are below. I'll come back tomorrow evening and edit the post to put a line through the bits I managed.

    Tuesday - Living areas & Hall/Porches/Entrance

    1. Vacuum throughout halls and living area including under furniture & the sofa
    2. Tidy away anything that shouldn't be where it is now!
    3. Make sure all coats are away tidy & entrances aren't blocked
    4. [STRIKE]Find box for 27 fling boogie charoty shop bits[/STRIKE]
    5. [STRIKE]Make mini burgers for DS's birthday party on Saturday ready for the freezer [/STRIKE]6. [STRIKE]Clean hob top[/STRIKE]
    7. Pair Sock. Urrgghhhh I hate this job
    8. [STRIKE]20 min starter blizt on spare room[/STRIKE]

Extra for today, 27 fling boogie and paperwork sort - [STRIKE]give that pile of paperwork that's been ignored 15 minutes of your time[/STRIKE].

Just committing that here makes me feel better. Just like the weekly menu planner I hope this'll get me going!

I've recorded 'Ten Kids and Counting' 'cos it looked really interesting. I had intended to watch BBC's Whistleblower - about the banks - and settled down to watch but live football was on instead so I hope they put Whistleblower on again - apparently it's an eyeopener about how the banks treat their customers - some of which we MSEs already know about, of course!

I did a 27 fling boogie instead then carried on with a doll I'm knitting for my granddaughter - took me a while getting the face right - poor thing looked boss-eyed at the first attempt but she's OK now!

Laid table for breakfast, took pork tenderloin from freezer to defrost - I'm making Paprika Pork for dinner today; it is a delicious recipe I found on MSE (by helen1014 - I MUST thank her!) and I may try it in the slow-cooker. Anyway, it's super-tasty and OH loved it. Will do it with sauted left-over baby pots from yesterday. It's only 5.40 am and I'm feeling hungry. Better get the porridge on! Have great day, everyone!

Don't forget to take some time off just for yourself - especially after a run of ten days at work!
