Running late with the scores on the doors today, as it's the first day Mr Minx is allowed to drive after his operation and he was itching to jump into his truck and go into town as soon as possible!
First bit of good news for the day - bankings of £324.12 :j:j:j (OK, so I *might* have slipped back into the office at 9.30 last night while letting the dog out for her last wee and sorted out the overseas customer....:p). My % up or down on the year has gone green again

I had a bit of me time this morning. The dog badly needed a walk on the beach (too much time spent exploring the muck heap!) so I took my camera down with me and exercised my landscape muscles. I think this is my favourite:

but this one has got the most likes on Facebook so far

It's been a quiet day other than that. I did a bit of work this morning, booking on a stock delivery, had lunch, caught up with this week's lectures on the free equine nutrition course I'm doing on Coursera.org (19 out of 20 on this week's assessement, go me!), managed to mis-time going to do the horses and got drenched and am now trying to cheer up the depressed Scotsman - the silver lining is that, unlike the previous 7 years, he hasn't spent several hundred pounds going to watch it at Murrayfield!0 -
Thanks for sharing the beautiful pictures from your walk. I'm with you in that I like the top one best - but then anything with snow in it does it for me!

Thank you RPP

Today has been a sorting my **** out kind of day. I decided to start over with the YNAB software and actually set it up correctly, budgeting to zero instead of running a huge deficit. It's made me realise exactly how much money I don't have...I'll see how it goes.
The Barclaycard-that-was-an-Egg statement turned up, that's another £105 paid off and that takes me over £500 paid off that card in 3 months.
I've been having another work crisis. Well, not exactly a crisis, more a 'what should I be doing with my life?' moment. I get them fairly regularly
Today I hit Google in an attempt to find out how to work out what I actually wanted to do for a living and most of the advice started off by telling you to write down what your day would be like if money wasn't an issue. Mine went something along the lines of spend half of it daydreaming on the beach or in a field and the rest of it watching trashy telly or playing hidden object games. Kind of tricky to make a career out of any of that - I suspect that my best career move would be to divorce Mr Minx and get married to someone with a net worth similar to Simon Cowell's :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: 0 -
Beautiful pics, and a nice effort bathing the dog at the same time! Could you sell your photos, even via Shutterstock for ease (I think that's the easy way but no real idea...)0% card was £1126.91 / Now £1502.37

I've got stuff on Shutterstock and Alamy, but very few sales to date
I think maybe four downloads on Shutterstock? Not enough to cash out anyway!
Today's good news is that my cousin has had her holiday request approved, so she, Mum and I are having a week together at the beginning of June
Not sure where we're going yet, it's Mum's turn to choose, so she's having a think. I know she wasn't wanting to go too far from home in case her other half has a fall and she needs to get back quickly - our cancelled week last year was going to be staying with my cousin in Cornwall, so that might be on again. I've looked at flights, Inverness to Bristol is already over £200 if I want to fly at the weekend, as is Inverness to Newquay, but it looks like I can get the overnight Megabus from Inverness to London and then a National Express from London to Truro for about £56 return
I had a bit of a declutter this afternoon, taking advantage of the eBay free listings offer. I got 22 books and 2 numnahs up for sale before my phone battery ran out. Fingers crossed some of it sells.0 -
Fingers crossed your holiday this year goes ahead. I remember when you had to cancel last year.0

Hi Caz....I think I would go stir crazy with that kinda coach travel..10hours? More? What about the train if you book well in advance.. (Dawlish will be fixed by then...and it's the most beautiful part of that line)

A shame about the photos
