Hats brilliant news about the order, hopefully she'll be a good repeat customer.Sealed pot challenge 822

Yes, definitely great news about the new customer. Hopefully many more like that will come along this year.
I sometimes thing a cost per use calculation is justified. I've got things that are years old but have either been worn or used so often, I know I've gotten my money's worth.
All the best.0 -
I feel like I'm playing some kind of real life snakes and ladders at the moment. My laser printer packed up this morning, half way through printing out 52 orders. As I paid about £45 for it 6 years ago and it's done about 250 pages a week every week since, it's done pretty well, but it could have picked a better day! Fortunately I have an inkjet printer for photos, so that's tiding me over for a few days until the replacement arrives although it seems incapable of feeding a sheet of A4 through itself straight and all my invoices are printing out wonky! I'm just crossing my fingers the inks don't run out - the magenta, cyan and yellow are all flagging as low, but I've put it into grayscale mode which should force it to run off the separate black tank.
I spent last night failing to win numnah auctions on eBay. I *nearly* got a cob-sized white dressage Nuumed for £4.80, but two other people sniped in the last 30 seconds and it went up to £14, way over my maximum budget. I'll get one eventually, they do sell for around the £5-8 mark regularly, it's just catching the right one.0 -
OK, life is being ridiculous now. Went into the annexe this morning to print off orders, very tight for time because I had to take Mr Minx into town to have a meeting with his boss - would printer number 2 work? Would it heck! The computer could see the printer was there, but when it tried to send the print job to it, it failed. I tried swapping the USB cable with the laser printer one, no joy, so I unplugged the whole lot, took it into the house, downloaded the right drivers onto Mr Minx's laptop, plugged it into that and prayed to the IT Gods.
Their helpdesk was obviously on good form because it duly spat out sheets of paper like a good'un, though the black cartridge had started flashing a low level alert, and I hurtled back to the annexe and threw things madly into jiffy bags.
Got back from Mr Minx's lunch meeting at 3 to find an email from Euroffice saying they were very sorry, but due to a system error my new printer hadn't been dispatched yet. ARRRRRRGGGHHHHHH!!!! It's on its way now, supposedly on next day delivery, but if it's here before Friday I'll be surprised
I did look for an ink cartridge for printer 2 while I was in town, but nowhere had a compatible one.
On the plus side, I had a £180 order from a regular in Australia overnight, the stock for the European lady's order was delivered, I sent her an invoice at 5pm and she'd paid by 5.30

£980 banked today
Which still isn't enough, as the charm bracelets land tomorrow and I think the Royal Mail bill and the VAT and duty are going to fall due on the same day  I have £1800 available, I need about £2500/600, but at least it's more achievable than it was.
Still no new printer. Printer 2 decided it would work hooked up to my computer again this morning, but would only print off orders from the feeder, not the paper tray. So when it was time to print off the address labels, I duly put them into the feeder only for the dratted thing to pick up plain paper from the tray and start printing out on that. The black tank is now showing a low level, despite me printing everything out at draft quality. I'm seriously hoping for delivery of the new one tomorrow or I really am going to be handwriting everything.
The post office printer stopped working as I walked through the door as well, it really is me :rotfl:0 -

No, trust me - its not just you. I can make a photocopier light up like a Christmas tree as soon as look at it.
And I've lost track of the amount of times I only want to copy or print one page to discover that it's out of paper. I think they see me coming!
On an unrelated note, I see the second - and I think final series of "The Following" starts next Tuesday. Are you going to watch? When they say 'scenes of strong, graphic violence' - they're not kidding! Well done, but not exactly relaxing fare.0 -
Not just you. Our main office photocopier hates me so much
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Glad it's not just me - I do weird things to electrical equipment when I'm stressed! One Christmas I was staying at my brother's and on call for work (airport stores traded on Christmas day so someone had to man the phone) and his TV and DVD player refused to work until I'd left the room

It's already set up to record
Didn't realise they weren't going to do another, that's a shame. What with this being the last season of True Blood as well (when Fox decides to put it back on after the Christmas break...), my schedule is going to look very empty
Still, the first half season of The Blacklist has been excellent and I'm continuing to enjoy Person of Interest as well. I'm still annoyed Alcatraz didn't get picked up for a second season though, I really wanted to know where that was going to go. 0 -
Not just you no - I can make the card machine you pay on lose their dial up connection by simply being there!Debt - CCV £3792

Well, that's why I remember reading. Something about Kevin Bacon not wanting to get tied down to a long running production schedule. Trouble is, I don't want to go searching to confirm in case I come across spoilers by mistake.0
