I don't mind spoilers
so I went for a Google - all I can find is that the series creator has the story mapped out to the end of Season 3, no news on whether they'll actually film it or not. 0 -
Well, Kevin Bacon lost a shed load of money in the Madoff / ponzi scheme. So, perhaps it's a case of money talks.0

So it's tight, but it balances. I'm uncomfortably aware that I'm just one big vet bill from disaster though, as the horses aren't insured....

so the sooner you can clear a debt and have a little more disposable income the better - can you challenge yourself to get one cleared in a certain period of time?Must use my stash up!0

The problem is that the snowball debt is the largest one - the Egg card. I think the snowball calculator currently reckons about 3 years to pay it off. All spare cash is currently being thrown at it, but I'm going to run out of things to sell soon, or at least things I don't mind selling....0 -

Blast, hmm may be crazy but would it be worth swapping the spare cash payments to the smaller one and clear that out?Must use my stash up!0 -

I'd rather not if at all possible - the difference is 10% a year. As I pay this one off the minimum payment will come down quite quickly. In the meantime, I need to keep ploughing on with the business and try to increase the amount I can take out of it without jeopardising it.0 -

Fair enough - I was just trying to think things around

We're in the same boat Caz, if we don't up the income then there's nothing spare to pay off the debt with so we have to be patient and hope nothing happens in the mean time. If it does, we handle it, cos that's what we do

Keep ploughing away - it's good to have a check every now and again.Debt - CCV £3792
CCB £1383 (took a hit for a holiday)
Loan 1 £1787
Loan 2 £1683
Total £8601 Was £393020 -
There's an extra fiver's wiggle room in the budget, the minimum payment for the Barclaycard is down to under £50
That meant I didn't have to transfer anything extra into the bills account to make all the payments and could transfer £1.63 into my rounding down bank account (AKA fledgling emergency fund) which takes it over £70. I'm thinking that using that account as the annual spends float might not be a bad idea - to cover the insurances and car maintenance figures I'd need to put £127 a month in there from the NatWest account. I might start doing that over the summer, once the main annual spends are out of the way.
Anyway, Friday appears to have come round again, so here we go with the figures:
Business
Overdraft: -£-8378.96 / -£7937.57 +£441.39
Business total: -£8378.96 / -£7937.57 +£441.39
Personal
Egg card: -£5320.00 / -£5270.00 +£50.00
Barclaycard: -£2330.00 / -£2295.00 +£35.00
Nationwide card: -£2480.00 / -£2480.00 no change
Personal total: -£10130.00 / -£10045.00 +£85.00
Grand total: -£18,508.96 / -£17,982.57 +£526.39
The good news is that it's all green, the bad news is that I paid the freight, VAT and duty on the charm bracelet order this morning and I've underestimated by £177
With another £1292.89 due out on the 22nd plus £37.02 in bills coming out some time next week (probably Monday and Tuesday), I need to find £801 by Tuesday night if I don't want to touch my set aside tax bill money. There's £43 on its way from a credit card payment and I can take £140 out of the business savings and still have enough to pay the tax if I have to, but weekend sales haven't been that good - though thanks to the lovely European lady, I was less than £1 short of banking £2k this week
I think this weekend is going to be spent listing every scrap of spare stock I can find!
