    Ali - I can get a few different ones. I've PM'd you :)

Mara - glad they got there safely and you like them :)

Right, it's Friday, so it must be time for some rather late scores on the doors (blame a late night last night celebrating our neighbours' 10th anniversary of moving to the village plus a £240 cabochon order to pack this morning!)

    (last week/this week/ + or - amount)
    Business
    Overdraft: -£-8614.33 / -£8238.48 +£375.85

    Business total: -£-8614.33 / -£8238.48 +£375.85

    Personal
    Overdraft: -£0.00 / £0.00 no change
    Egg card: -£3420.36 / -£3350.00 +£70.36
    Barclaycard: -£2615.00 / -£2615.00 no change
    Nationwide card: £2714.44 / £2714.44 no change

    Personal total: -£8749.80 / -£8679.44 +£70.36

    Grand total: -£17,364.13 / -£16,917.92 +£446.21

Better than last week, but I'm going to head back into the personal overdraft with tomorrow's shopping. That's 4 days later than last month though and hopefully I won't go to -£324 which is where it ended up at the end of May, though with it being a five Saturday month, it's going to be tough.

Anyway, Mr AJG has turned up with yet another box of stock, so I'm getting back to work.

£73 in Tesco today. With £36.50 coming back from Mr Minx, that'll put me within the buffer zone on my overdraft, so no interest to be charged just yet - I might survive another week!

The box of stock that arrived yesterday had those customer orders in and two out of the three of them have made their purchases, which is £285 in the bank with another £200 to come :D I've nearly finished booking on all the new stock, I've got 4 more charms to list (they've been photographed), some silicon beads (I ordered mixed, they've come bagged as 10 individual colour packs of 500 beads each and now I don't know whether to sell them in separate colours or mix them!) and the alphabet beads left to deal with.

Oh drat, I wrote a huge entry and MSE gave me a 'Bad request' response

Short version (because I'm about to go to bed) - really good day with husband and other animals :p and we have started our hedge (the garden kind, not a complex financial instrument). I just hope the double-stranded electric fence will keep the sheep away from it until we can get some windbreak netting

Humph, I was hoping to report on the Barclaycard statement today, since the last one was May 16th, but it hasn't generated yet.

Still, I can't be too grumpy because I banked £840 this morning :j:j which is a great start to the week, although sales for today haven't been great so far. June and July are always my quietest months, so I'm not too worried, but I'd really like to be able to get some more stock ordered from overseas this month. Costing up the order is on tomorrow's to-do list.

Mr Minx nearly bought a car yesterday. He emailed me from work to say that someone was advertising a 1975 MGB GT Jubiliee edition in great condition for £1295 and could we go and have a look? Since I've always secretly wanted one too, the price was unbelievably low and Mr Minx had just had his bonus, I said yes. He spoke to the bloke selling it, no-one had been to see it, he told us to come at 6.30, so I collected Mr Minx from work and we had an early supper in town before heading off to the guy's house, very excited.

Could we find it? Could we heck. The village he lives in has two streets and we drove up and down them twice before caving in and phoning for directions. "Ah," the bloke said, sounding distinctly uncomfortable. "Bit of a situation here. My wife had it advertised somewhere else, showed it to someone at 4.30 and they bought it - I tried to get hold of you but you'd left work already."

Poor Mr Minx was terribly disappointed, but it's probably for the best!

Sales in the last 24 hours have been horrible, but at least the quiet day gave me a chance to catch up on the to-do list. All the new stock is listed and starting to sell, my accounts are up to date and I even cleaned the kitchen

The Barclaycard has been paid, as has the Nationwide card and I got a bit obsessive and rounded them both down with small overpayments. The current account is only £3.41 in the red, but I've had the bill for the septic tank emptying today - my half is £82 - and I've got another two weekend shops to do :( On the bright side, this month's interest bill was only £20.42 :D

Plunge taken, 7300 new resin flatbacks ordered :D (100 each of 73 different items). The good news is that they're all available from stock, so will be ready to ship 3 days after payment is received and they're only charging me US$156 to send them via DHL so I should get them fairly fast.

I've spent all evening looking at holiday options and failing to book anything. We want to go somewhere 4 or 5* (or clean and tidy 3* with excellent service) with guaranteed sunshine. Mexico is within budget but we'd be going in the hurricane season and our holiday could be wiped out by weather. Mauritius is not quite within budget but we know what it's like there at that time of year and we both really, really want to go back. Off to the holiday board to see what they recommend, I think!

OK, HOW is it Friday already???

    (last week/this week/ + or - amount)
    Business
    Overdraft: -£-8238.48 / -£8307.96 -£69.48

    Business total: -£-8238.48 / -£8307.96 -£69.48

    Personal
    Overdraft: -£0.00 / -£3.41 -£3.41
    Egg card: -£3350.00 / -£3350.00 no change
    Barclaycard: -£2615.00 / -£2575.00 +£40.00
    Nationwide card: -£2714.44 / -£2685.00 +£29.44

    Personal total: -£8679.44 / -£8613.41 +£66.03

    Grand total: -£16,917.92 / -£16,921.37 -£3.45

That's about as close to treading water as it gets!

Next week will probably be a horror though - the payment for the septic tank emptying will clear for starters. I had £1350 out of the business account this week for various supplier payments, next week the money for the resin flatbacks will go, along with another £717.50 to Royal Mail. I've got enough in the account to cover it, but at the moment I'm not getting paid next month! Still, I have 9 days to bank the £1300 I need and take a bit extra for the next supplier bill on the 5th and the eBay bill on the 8th. If DHL are on the ball, I should have my new stock by the beginning of July and that should really help sales. I've got 16 lines at the moment and they include some of my most watched items after only a few weeks of being available, so bringing in another 67 different ones can only help - I hope!
