Right, month end and how have I done?

Crofting update - I was footling around the internet last night, thought I'd have a quick look at the crofting register to see if any more local crofts had been added and discovered that the two I'm buying had been put on last Monday with me listed as the tenant!
So today has been a bit of a whirlwind of phone calls, first to my solicitor to see if she knew about this (she didn't, so she chased the seller's solicitors, who didn't appear to know it had gone through either!) and then to a specialist smallholder insurance broker to try and get covered, as it's a bit of a grey area as to who is liable for insuring the house when the tenancy is in my name but the cash hasn't changed hands yet.
I was hoping that the funds could be transferred today and I could get the keys this afternoon, but the paperwork for the single farm payment transfer hasn't been handed over and my solicitor is reluctant to send the money until she's made sure it's present and correct, so I'm going to have to wait a little longer, but the part that had the potential to hold us up until the end of April is out of the way and it's just how fast the two solicitors can get the loose ends tied up now0 -
That's wonderful news Caz. How exciting!

No scores today because the PC is switched off and I've been out with Mr Minx, taking his mother to lunch - I'll do them tomorrow.
I've had a thoroughly lazy weekendFor the first time in what seems like ages, I had no work to do, so I decided to take advantage of the fact and I've spent most of the weekend horizontal on the sofa playing games. I feel an awful lot better for it, it has to be said.
Mr RPC has very, very kindly sent me his daughter's old iPhone for work purposes, so I've got that set up - he's pleased he can ping me on WhatsApp again, I'm pleased to have a phone I can play games onTomorrow I guess I'll find out whether Tu GO works well enough with my broadband for me to start talking to his clients on it.
Mr Minx is away all week in London, so I guess I'm going to be getting loads done - already got 2 x large agency files and 2 x NEL files booked in, and the market research agency I do projects for is kicking off three weeks of interviews on Tuesday. Also got loads to catch up on for Mr RPC. I know last week's scores on doors is going to be short of the magic £350, so hopefully I can make some of it up next week.0 -
Sounds like a lovely recharging weekend :-)Sealed pot challenge 822

What a lovely weekend!
Remind me what the £350 is as my memory is terrible and I am too lazy to flick back throughplease

£350 gross is what my target is for typing money each week
Talking of which...
NEL: £35.50
Journalist #2: £27.33
Mr RPC: £199.40
Total: £262.23
Quite a way off then...
75% of eBay less postage comes to £155.28, which helps, but I have now shut the eBay shop down to concentrate on Mr RPC for a couple of weeks, as I have a lot of stuff to get through for him.0 -
Thank you. Is the £262 figure taking in to account the rest of the week or already achieved?
I have managed to sell a rug that doesn't fit any of mine - yey! Need to get that squished and posted tomorrow.
What's the latest on the croft - has the solicitor got the info they wanted before releasing the money? Soooo exciting!Debt - CCV £3792
CCB £1383 (took a hit for a holiday)
Loan 1 £1787
Loan 2 £1683
Total £8601 Was £393020 -
The £262 was the whole of last week's typing earnings - missed my target by quite way! However, I got off to a storming start yesterday by doing over 5 hours for Mr RPC plus a 63-minute large agency file, so hopefully I can catch up a bit this week.
No news on the croft, I don't think my solicitor works Mondays (she's part-time). However, I did manage to take a cracking photo of the house last night, which hopefully will be useful when it comes to attracting guests!0
