  • Mr Minx dropped me further up the road as I'm cat and chicken sitting for neighbours

I'm sorry, but when I read this I got this vision of you sitting between the cat and the chickens to keep them apart, like a referee :)

Sounds like things are going (busily) but well. Take care.

No, I'm not ill, I'm suffering from early-birthday-present-itis! Up here, in the middle of nowhere, we have a young chap who is a former Scotland rugby international who's set up a personal training business. Now, he's based on the far side of Caithness, about a 90 mile round trip, which is too far for me to get to his classes regularly, but last week he posted on his business Facebook page to say he had a few vacancies for online distance training and I asked Mr Minx if he'd pay for a couple of months for my birthday present next month.

Well, we've got started a bit early, I did my first strength workout last night. The only move that was completely new to me was the glutes one and let's just say that stairs are a bit challenging today :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: He says as long as I stick to the program he designs for me, I'll be a 'supple leopard' by the end of it - Mr Minx promptly offered to pay for a year :p:D:p

Thanks to a glut of proofreading last night and today, my July invoice is already up to £188 and £707.70 landed in my account today for June :D I also banked over £500 for the beads, but I REALLY need to place a stock order ASAP as I've sold out of loads of stuff  I just didn't get a spare second today. At the moment, I have no proofreading for tomorrow morning and all orders placed up to 5pm have been packed up, so I'm planning to do it first thing tomorrow - hopefully they'll be able to get it on its way the same day.

Actually, today's been fine :) I'd mostly loosened off by this morning and did my first conditioning workout this evening.

We had a small delivery this evening...

Now, I know Mr Minx isn't the tallest of chaps, but that is an urking big lorry and the picture only shows the end stack - there were three stacks of three metre tree trunks, all of which got offloaded into the field. 25 tonnes of wood, including VAT and delivery, £787.50 - and that should last us about eight years :D

I thought it was going to be a quiet day, but then I got a couple of short transcription files and eight to proofread and it ended up quite busy after all. I did manage to get my stock order through first thing though, hopefully they managed to get it out today.

The best news of the day though is that I paid a great big £500 chunk off the Barclaycard :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

Gosh you are doing really well - hope they continue to feed you work.

When I look at that lorry - I see cross country jumps :D we have a few new ones at the yard.

I am competing this weekend so hopefully she will pull it out the bag on the day as we have had a few issues lately which is NOT good for the nerves at my age!

Oooh, good luck. Eventing or show jumping? Fingers crossed she behaves anyway.

Another busy day. A couple of hundred pounds banked for the beads and more proofreading - my invoice for the month is *already* at £244 and there's transcription to add on top of that!

Off into Thurso to meet up with a friend for dinner, she's up checking on a project the company she works for has with one of the engineering companies up here. Mr Minx has given me the voucher he won at work for a local restaurant, but looking at it, it expired on 30th June :( I am going to see if they'll accept it, we do eat there quite a lot, but managed to lose this down the back of a drawer for several months. Fingers crossed.

Eventing so wish me luck - only doing BE80 but it feels like I have been round Badminton when I have finished. She flies xc - can be a bit 'looky' show jumping but dressage can be tricky - typical TB mare - if she feels like it - she does great - one thing sets her off and thats it 4 mins of hell lol.

Ah, along the lines of 'Enter at working gallop. Slow at X, then spook right.' :D Fingers crossed she has her sensible head on :)

After today's proofreading session is added to my proofing and transcription totals, I've made £300 this month ALREADY!! Good thing too, because I finally got the June accounts done for the beads and Sage reckons I've made a loss of £139 :( I was trying to figure out why on earth that was and then remembered that I was shut on eBay for the first eight days :o If I'd been trading normally I'd have been in profit, but not by much.

Anyway, I banked £220 from PayPal today and YNAB is looking reasonably healthy. I need another £770 for supplier payments, another £200-ish for the regular monthly bills like BT, the shop software etc. etc. and then something to pay me with because I haven't taken any money out yet this month, but the tax bill for the end of the month is covered and I did the VAT return today and that's covered as well.
