LAM - the boys are fine, thank you for asking
Finn's abscess cleared up beautifully and thankfully the exit hole was nice and high on the top of his heel, out of the way of the mud, because after the first poultice the day it blew, he decided he Wasn't Having That Done Again, Thank You Very Much and refused to pick up his foot if he saw me with an Animalintex and bandages :rotfl: I don't know if I mentioned it here, I don't think I did, but I took him off the stomach meds about 10 days ago, leaving him just on the Acid Ease supplement, and he has been absolutely fine, in fact I would say he's feeling even better off them - they've obviously done their job and aren't needed any more. So that's £110 every three months I don't have to find any more
In all the exhaustion of yesterday, I never got round to doing my tally-up of money earned. Given that Saturday is now the only day I'm guaranteed not to have any bead shop bankings or transcription or proofreading work, I'm going to count Sunday as the start of the week. So:
Sunday:
£24.00 - proofreading
£14.33 - personal eBay sale
£38.33
Monday:
£32.00 - proofreading
£27.99 - transcription
£21.50 - 10% of bead shop bankings
£81.49
£119.82 banked, £230.18 to make to get me to this week's target. Today so far I've got £8.00 from proofreading with probably another £8.00 to come as long as the three typists working on this file get finished, and possibly some more work assigned on the evening shift (Mr Minx is out tonight). Today's transcription job was a do-over of a different part of yesterday's file, because the person who was assigned it had real trouble hearing it, so I'm not exactly sure what the rate will be - according to my contract, 25p a minute, though some of them have changed a bit for the better. If I calculate it on that, anyway, that's another £12.25, plus £9.00 for 10% of bead shop bankings. That means I need to be assigned four files tonight to make it up to £50 for the day. Fingers crossed.
I've also sent a letter to HMRC asking to come off the annual accounting scheme (at the moment I only owe them about £200 for the first six weeks of the year, so no point in building up a massive surplus again), sent my accounts off to the accountant and booked on yesterday's stock delivery - hopefully that will generate a couple of orders overnight, as there were quite a few
items in there that had been out of stock for a few weeks. 0 -

Cry with relief probably :rotfl: Probably the same as I always do, to be honest - look after the animals, pack up my bead orders and type stuff. I'm not planning anything special, put it that way. How about you?
I didn't get any more proofreading last night, so Tuesday ended up as follows:
£16.00 - proofreading
£12.25 - transcription
£9.00 - 10% of bead shop bankings
£37.25
Today I had a nice big chunk of focus group to type up, one of the same batch I proofread yesterday afternoon, so I already had a pretty good idea of what was coming and just flew through it. Today's numbers:
£23.46 - transcription
£15.50 - 10% of bead shop bankings
£38.96
That's £196.03 this week, £153.97 still needed. Somehow I think that's going to be tight in two days, unless eBay sales suddenly take off. They have picked up a little bit, so it's not impossible, but I'm not holding my breath!
Mr Minx and I were chatting via email today and he mentioned that he was going to mow the lawn when he got home. Now, being that I'm a lovely wife and it was threatening to rain, I thought I'd do it for him this afternoon, since I'd not got any proofreading. No problems until I emptied the grass box for the second time with the mower facing up the slope. It's a bit tricky to start when it's pointing uphill, so I rolled up my sleeves, took a firm grip on the starter cord, gritted my teeth and PULLED....
....there was a kind of pinging noise and my bra exploded!
:rotfl: It was Mr Minx's favourite as well and I don't think Ultimo make that style any more. I shall have to investigate eBay!
In other news, my Red Spotted Hanky voucher arrived and I have just paid £55.20 and £35 in Clubcard vouchers for £120.20 of train tickets. That's all the travel for my holiday with mum booked now. Can't wait

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
It's been a busy day. Not quite as busy as Monday, I did get some lunch, but not until 4pm! Today's file came through at 9am, which was good because it was a big 63 minute chunk of focus group. Nice clear sound and I ended up typing 50 pages of A4!
Robbie the farrier turned up just after 10 to give the boys their pedicure. Very little to take off, but he spent a lot of time looking at the crack in Merlin's right hind, which has opened up again. We discussed the various options, including staples or shoeing him, but we both feel that since he's totally unbothered by it and sound that there's not much point. We did nearly get rid of it completely over Christmas, but about three weeks before the visit to file out the last bit, it went again
Anyway, bless Robbie, he put a bit of filler in it and refused to take any more than £20 off me again. We're booked back in for 10 weeks' time, since they're growing so slowly.
I came back in to find a Facebook message from my cousin's cousin, saying her boss had asked her if she knew anyone who did transcription and did I want her to pass on my details? Yes please
As it happened, I couldn't take the job on (too much work for one person to do in the timescale needed), but I did give her the details of the company I get work from and then, slightly cheekily, forwarded my reply to said company with 'I don't know if you guys have a referral bonus scheme, but just in case....' Silence for about 45 minutes and then I got a reply saying they'd pay me 7.5% if they got the job - result
:D:D:D
17 orders packed and sent (or 16 orders and an exchange, to be strictly accurate) and I got back from the post office to a couple of bits of proofreading for this evening. I was getting close to deadline for the transcription, so I got my head down and rattled through the last 15 minutes of it, then started on the proofreading, but felt dizzy half way through the first file, so pottered into the kitchen to raid the fridge.
To round off the day nicely, I've sold another perfume set
So today's tally looks like this:
£8.00 - proofreading
£32.13 - transcription
£10.00 - 10% of bead shop bankings
£21.45 - private eBay sale
£71.58
Total for the week so far, £267.61. £82.39 needed tomorrow to hit target - unlikely! But I tend to be lucky with getting decent amounts of proofreading on a Friday night, so you never know...0 -

Good question! I don't know what I will do - need to think now lol. I just cant wait to put some money in an account and look at it knowing it doesn't have to go to debt!

LOL! that should get you out of future lawn mowing. Cant the boys mow it for you?
Is it merlin on stomach meds? is it for ulcers? my little mare has been diagnosed border line cushings so we are re testing in 8 weeks to judge how far she has gone since now and whether necessary to start treating. So bizarre as apart from the fact that she had that mastitis for a while and is starting to look a bit cresty you really wouldn't know.0
