I was watching the game last night (Germany v Italy) but only in between getting in from playing in a chess tournament and waiting for the roof to close and environment change at Wimbledon. It's a pity I couldn't have watched both the footie and the Nadal match (don't like watching recordings later on). The Nadal match was fascinating, I have never seen him under so much pressure before (mental I mean obviously because someone who he probably assumed that he should easily beat was giving him problems).

I was shouting for Italy, I hope they win on Sunday.

So will I be shouting for them I got £25 on them at 16/1. Better still I did the bet with victor chandler and they're returning loosing bets if Spain win the tournament.

So £400/0. That's quite a generous offer, was the 16/1 a bit less than betfair offered (but obvioulsy still representing value with the Spain win concession)?

I had a bet on Germany before it all started, just in case. I was glad to lose it. They said last night that in a poll before the tournament, two thirds of Germans expected to win it. Says it all really.

Yes, confidence is a dirty word to the British. Shame really, because if we had the German's confidence we might not be such a third rate little country.

Much better to be gallant losers eh? ;)

Yes, Ballotelli has a very short attention span, so board games are out of the question.

Betfair were going 18/1 but by the time you take of the commission it makes it nearer 17/1 I preferred the victor chandler offer.
