    in this case a third party will be paid out and the policy doesnt get honoured, police are not usually informed by insurers, unless theres a police investigation into the accident and the insurers inform the police in their check that the policy is void and then policyholder maybe issued a fixed penalty.

    theres been cases like this and challenged at court and policyholder come out ontop.

    just because the claim was rejected doesnt automatically open the door to a fixed penalty or summons from police.
