Currently my NCB is being used on one Policy which is protected, When I go to confused.com to do a search for another car I tick (currently has protected NCB), is this okay? for me to be main driver on two cars.

Since Ive filling the Correct information on Confused.com the insurance company who give me a quote will know this because I receive a quote from them.

You can be the main driver on two cars, but you can only use your ncd on one of them. You will have to start the second policy with zero ncd, or try to do a deal with your current insurer to get a discount, or shop around with a decent broker. But don't enter any ncd on quotes for the second car.

Its OK if your the only person named on the policy. Name another driver and they will drag you through the hot coals if you need to claim.

Especially if the occasiional driver has an accident and they find out they are more than just occasional users.

It just makes it look dodgy even if its not.

Unless the other driver is an equal/better risk.

You wont be able to do it online. Either use a local broker (depends how much other business you do with them to see how hard they will work for you) or get on the phone.
Online always defaults your NCB to whatever car you are doing the quote for and isn't apparently applicable to all your cars.
A real pain, but there are plenty of insurers capable of doing more than the basics.

A lot of companies will mirror your NCB if you ask them. I done this when I bought my skyline as it was a second car and only used at weekends. But if you're doing it to front for someone else driving, then it's generally not a good idea.

There is no problem being the main driver on 2 (or more) cars.

But you cannot use your NCD (irrespective of whether or not it is protected) on this separate car.

When getting confused comparisons you should be saying you have nil NCD for this car.

Basically, I was going to be the main driver of the New car which I was going to purchase and include my son on the policy aswell, I will be the main driver as Ill be doing more miles than him, He will only use it to attend work which will be 3 times a week.

I dont know if this is still fronting ?

(Also I read around that since my NCB are being used on the First Policy I dont mind saying that ive got Zero NCB when it comes to the second policy.)

    Is this legal?

    Yes.

You may find it cheaper to put this new car on your existing policy (thereby getting the NCD off the premium which will probably be higher than yours).

Then starting a new policy (nil NCD) for your old car.

Also see if your current insurer will do you a discount for insuring a second car with them.

Same Insurance RIPPED ME OFF, I would like to leave the other policy how it is, Just like I explained above starting from Zero No Claims on second Policy that is Legal?

Yes it's legal to be the main driver on both cars as long as you're not just fronting for your son. Call around, many will offer to mirror the ncb on the 2nd car.
