Window lock keys missing on completion

Hello All,
we recently bought a property and on the papers we received detailing what was included in the sale it said that we would get keys for all the window lock and all the doors. On completion we found out that we had some keys missing but, as we were going to change the door locks anyway, we decided not to chase does. However, we were given only 1 key for windows of a 3-storey property and no keys for the windows on the extension. We have immediately contacted our solicitor who said she would contact the sellers solicitor. We have been calling our solicitor all the time for a month and, today, they said that the sellers says he doesn't have the keys and that we have nothing to do about it and they won't chase it for us. We would have to go through the small claims court blah blah blah. This surprises me! As it was written on the papers we received detailing what was included and what was not included, aren't we entitled to the keys? Shouldn't our solicitor enforce this and get us either the keys or some compensation to replace them?
I would really appreciate any advice on this as I believe our solicitor was very poor throughout the whole process, and now that they have received the payment they couldn't care less. I feel that I should be making a complaint agains them but would like to know first if I am entitled to these keys and if my solicitor should be the one taking care of it.
Btw, avoid BHP law.

Do you even get a key for every window when the windows are first put in? I've never lived in a house which has keys for every window.
Is it 'one size fits all' for window keys? I'm sure I've had keys from different houses which I've used in others.
Have you got a couple of friends nearby whose keys you could try? Am sure if they work, you'll be able to order a set from somewhere...
A pain, I know. Had barely any keys for the windows in my last house.

No, there are no keys for the extension. Our insurance has detailed that we have working locks+keys for every window of the property and we need to have those. Also, that's not the point. We can get possibly get the keys somewhere else but it was detailed in what was included in the sale. Isn't that a valid document that should be enforced in case something was missing? If you don't have the keys, why would you say so in the documents?

Saw a tread about this a couple days ago on here but can't to find it, the person had the same problem like you. If is is double glazing windows there is a website you can go to find the keys. Some one will come along soon that can find the link.0

While you are right that you are entitled to the keys, your solicitor can't make your seller hand them over, especially if he doesn't have them. Do you really want to pursue the seller through the courts for the cost of some new keys?0

No, I don't want that. I just want to get what I was told I would receive on completion. As far as I'm aware that is a legal document and something should be done about it right? If a dishwasher was missing, what would be done? Wouldn't I be protected by having these documents saying that it was included in the sale? You are right, it is a legally enforceable document - however... it would cost you a lot more to enforce it than it would be to just replace the keys yourself - so if this is a matter of principle, then you can pursue it, but really, I would advise just getting the keys replaced (they really aren't expensive at all, only a couple of quid) and enjoy your new homeSaving for House Deposit - Done - Completed 14/11/2012

Thank you! And who should enforce it? Shouldn't it be the solicitor to which I have paid a fee to get help throughout the process? I feel that they haven't completed the job.
