in Credit cards
Have you noticed how hard it is these days, not to end up with a Credit or Debit Card.
I actually closed one back account, when they "upgraded" my Cash Card to a Debit Card, despite me telling them I didn't want it.
Last year, my current bank sent me a letter, telling me they WILL be replacing my Cash Card with a Debit Card.
They only changed their mind, when I took it up with the branch manager, face to face.

Well you know we also stopped using animals and vegetables as currency at some time, too. How awful it was to replace that with cash. Such an awful world we live in...Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Exactly why are you so against having a debit or credit card?
If you don't want to use the debit card... don't carry it.
It doesn't make sense to me... if you were one of those "off the grid" types, then surely having NO bank account would make more sense.Oh, you wee bazza!0 -
It annoys me too.
I had a simple bank link card which was great for taking money out outside of the UK - no visa fees!Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0 -

Just out of interest (and not neccessarily a criticism), why don't you want a debit card? I can see why you might not want a credit card, but can't think of any major reason for not wanting debit0

If you don't have a debit/credit card you have to carry that dirty clunky stuff around in your pocket.0

Ask if they issue a separate cash-only card. If they do (and Lloyds certainly do) then just ask for this to be issued. When you get it destroy the debit card and you're done. Might be worth phoning Lost & Stolen dept to report the debit card lost to be on the safe side and just ask them not to replace the card.0

Just use your debit card as a cash card. Can't see the problem really. No one will be forcing you to use it to buy stuff.0

What's wrong with a debit card? And they don't generally throw credit cards at you unless you have applied for one (i.e. wanted one).0
