I hope it is ok with everyone if I start the thred - just been drawing up my plan and list with a cuppa so thought I would share.

Any snacks come from the fruit bowl. I always buy apples, pears, bananas and sometimes kiwis but mil has kindly been bringing some with her on mondays which helps everything last a long time.

Breakfasts
Apricot, Pumpkin Seed and Cocoa Flapjacks with a banana. Soya milk/tea for me and littlie. Eldest at breakfast club so am sending a carton of soya milk and spread with her. Hubby takes cereal and banana with him.
Decided to make an almond and dark choc chip plaited loaf too... still working our way through the easter choc and found some marzipan at the back of the cupboard last night!

Lunches
Pumpkin Seed and Roasted Pepper Scones or Veggie "Tuna" Pasta Salad. Carrot sticks. Fruit. Soya dessert pot. (I will be having the same minus dessert pot: salads not enough anymore ;) )

Teas
Crackers, pepper slices, carrot, raisins. Soya milk/cuppa
Sunday will be something on toast/sarnie, with carrot sticks, probs sliced pear, and [STRIKE]raisin + choc chip buns[/STRIKE] the almond + choc chip loaf above

Dinners
Sat: BBQ Pizza, garlic baguette, popcorn, carrot sticks
Sun (at lunchtime): Walnut and Spanish Olive Roulade, veg and gravy. Bottled cherries and custard.
Mon: Thai Green Chick Pea, Veg + Potato Curry (slow-cooker) with poppadoms (had wed pie instead)
Tue: Vegetable Sausages (Sains' Basics :o ) with baked beans and chips
Wed: Lentil and Tomato Cottage Pie (slow-cooker) (had mon curry instead)
Thu: Soup or broth (slow-cooker) Roasted Red Pepper, Tomato and Almond Soup with homemade bread
Fri: Pacific Pie (slow-cooker) with greens

Suppers
Soya milk/hot choc for girls, we will have popcorn or toast + probs extra fruit for me ( :o ) later on.

Hope you all have a good week x
Love and compassion to all x

Thanks for starting us off, Boodle - I've just been doing my plan, too, and was going to start a thread if no-one else had.

The roulade sounds really nice - could you share the recipe, please?

    This week I've got:

Friday - broad bean, tomato and chorizo pasta with salad
Saturday - cured ham and roast tomato pizza

Sunday - seafood stew with olive bread
Monday - roast carrot, lentil and feta salad
    Tuesday - Thai prawn noodles
Wednesday - carrot and sesame burger with salad
Thursday - Greek lamb stew (from the freezer), possibly with HG potatoes (I'm not sure if they're OK or if they've rotted - I'll have a look tomorrow :undecided)
Back after a very long break!

We must both feeling quite Spanish, what with your Friday meal all broad beans and chorizo :p

The Spanish olives are from Approved Foods, preserved with cumin and garlic so they have quite a distinctive flavour - not great for nibbles and need toning down somewhat. They made a lovely savoury pate with an eye-equal quantity of walnuts all blitzed up. Was nice in a sarnie and also bits dotted across the top of a homemade pizza gave a lovely sausage-like boost to it. I plan on making another batch of the pate to fill the roulade.

The roulade itself is a scone mix (200g self raising flour with 50g marg rubbed in - marg has salt in it, so I just add pepper- then I stir in 100ml soya milk and 1 tsp malt vinegar to bring together.) I just roll or press the dough out into an oblong, spread with the filling, then roll up and bake.

Afternoon! Thanks, Boodle, for starting us off this week. I've just finalised my mealplan so here goes:

Fri - chilli con carne with potato wedges
Sat - Black Bean Chicken with Noodles
Sun - Mexican Chilli Beef & Bacon BBQ Tortilla Pie
Mon - Cajun Chicken Strips with Salad
Tues - Soup c/w HM Croutons
Weds - Lasagne with 1/2 a garlic bread
Thurs - Turkey Tikka Masala with Brown rice
    Fri - Pizza
    Sat - Moussaka
Sun - Roast Chicken Thighs, Potatoes, Veg & Gravy

Getting a few days' ahead so I'm a bit more organised. At least this way I'll definitely have the ingredients in for next weekend when I go shopping. Whew, it might get changed if this hot weather continues. I've bought a ham to bake and it turns out to be the hottest day of the year!

There's fruit and a few biccies for snacking on, though we're still trying to avoid them. Cereal for breakfast, and sarnies or leftovers for lunch. Have a good week, everyone.

    K xx

Thanks, Boodle - the recipe sounds even nicer than the description. That might well turn up on my mealplan next week, albeit with HM marinated olives as I obviously missed the AF ones. :(

Thanks for getting it started Boodle-your menus always tempt me towards veganhood, but I'm too much of an (ethical) omnivore to do it :) But I do try to make some of our veggie meals vegan...

Heyo kids. Last weeks plan went a bit screwy as I was poorly then had to go away for work. Mum coming to visit in a few weeks so need to be frugal for now. Have found a new fruit and veg stall which is incredibly cheap, so loads of veg in our meals. Its chilly here so warming fare is the way forward. Meals might be swapped out if someone else in the house decides to cook for a change.

Question for anyone in a house share - how do you deal with being the only one that cooks?? OH is facing a dramatic drop in income so I dont mind shopping for him, but roommie has just been eating whatever I cook which isn't a problem most of the time but is getting expensive to do every night! I dont feel comfortable asking for cash or excluding her from meals, would i be out of line to ask her to buy some ingredients (olive oil, eggs etc) that go into what I make? TBH I dont make anything especially for her, but there are less leftovers etc

    Tonight - baked ziti
Saturday - spiced carrot and lentil soup w/bread and vegetarian chili
Sunday - veg stir fry with gingery peanut sauce and noodles
    Monday -l/o chili, with rice
    Tuesday - veggie pilaf rice
Wednesday - l/o carrot and lentil soup
    Thursday - veg frittata
    Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000
