I have just had a PCN and would like to know if anyone has actually ignored the threats and found that they have gone away??

    Depends on who it's from.

PCN could be a Penaty Charge Notice from a council or the police which should be acted on.

PCN could be a Parking Charge Notice from a private comany which can be ignored.

Who does it say it's from?

Where do they want you to send your money?

(And yes, I've ignored PCNs from private companies and they've given up).

Her thread in the Motoring Forum says its PE.

So yes, lots and lots of us have ignored the cowboys. They didn't even bother to give me the full scam letter chain.

Same here. Ignored them and only got 2 letters before they gave up.

    Hey guys!

My only worry is that I stupidly replied, telling them my defense (I broke down and had to wait for the AA for over 2 hours, didn't know there a charge (my own fault for not paying attention I guess). And I told them that I was the driver (in my wife's car).

Am I still OK to ignore them?

    Ta for any help!!!

    Yes, you are.

Knowing who the driver was is but one small hurdle they have to overcome. There are plenty of other much bigger hurdles that they will find impossible to clear.

Even if you’ve written and told them who the driver was, it just means that they can now harass the driver instead of the registered keeper, and be ignored by the driver instead of the registered keeper.
The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life. :)

You can't help where you broke down, so no judge in a small claims is ever going to make a judgement against you. Frankly they'd be mad to take you there , and as they don't own the land they will have no legal right to take you to the small claims in the first place.
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

Ignore ignore ignore them. I've had my 3rd letter from Parking Eye and the payment "deadline" date hasn't even passed yet.
