Hi all hope everyone isn't too wet. ;) Its been bucketing down here, thunder and lightening, the lot. Got thoroughly wet just running to car from my hospital appointment. Have been discharged but must still go for therapy on my injured finger but dr seemed quite pleased.

Have dragged freezer out to defrost (don't you just hate that job- especially when it's supposed to be frost free:rotfl:), so will get that done in a min.

Am making spag bol later with the last few bits of food left in freezer, will have that with the flapjacks DD2 is making at school.:)

    Afternoon all,

Pelted rain all last night here....didn't sleep very well so heard it, but to-day is nice and sunny, around 21c.

Back giving me hell since yesterday afternoon....happens every so often so don't do anything about it, seems ok now but everytime I moved in bed last night I woke up, so feeling very tired.

Dinner to-day is steak with various veg and new potatoes, not feeling hungry to-day, have an appointment in beautician's at 3 so will do it when I come back.

Bran ( DD4's dog) was very naughty last night, OH has sworn, shouted, but best of all has washed the kitchen floor, its a job I hate, so have taken a positive from Bran's naughtiness! Would really rather he didn't repeat the performance, as kitchen was stinking to high heaven.

Hugs to all in need or want of one or more, take care

Hugs to all in need,Judi and RRs ear,MMs back and anyone else.
Its absolutely chucking it down here too now and thundering, not surprised it was so hot and sticky.
DS1 picked me up from town earlier, coming back on the motorway and the car stuck in 5th gear:eek:,so we had to pick a route where we hopefully didnt have to stop ,as it would stall.Managed to get a lot nearer home before we did have to stop, and he rang a mechanic mate who thinks a cable has snapped that makes the gearstick move sideways.DS had a tinker under the bonnet, and manually got it into 2nd,so we limped home,& its parked on the road now,but it'll prob be out of action all over weekend now -still got the little runaround, but on Sat DS2 has to pick up DGD,and DS1 was going to a concert and being away overnight-not to mention more money :(.
OOh it posted before I finished, must have touched something,ha.
Yesterday was my neighbours lads 21st,and she invited me in for lunch along with a few others-her son is partially paralysed and in a wheelchair so she wanted to make it nice for him,and it was lovely.I made him a card, racking my brains for an idea suitable for a young man.In the end i used blocks of text-21st birthday related ,in black white and red.Anyway he told his Mum he really liked it-apparently its 'random',which I think is good :)
Chilli nachos for tea,so quite quick to do.Have a good evening all.

JackieO I have an inside and outside stairlift, they are a godsend! I also have a bath lift, as I din't want a walk in shower and no bath. It's like an armchair that inflates like a lilo. Comes up to the top of the bath, I step in and deflates to the bottom, Bliss!I got disabled grants for mine, hope you can get them too.

    Thanks all again.

But feel awful now as I've just had to fail one of my student social workers :( had a meeting this afternoon with her, uni and us as she hasn't been performing. They are year 2 students and are with us for 90 working days. She knows she hasnt been performing and it was touch and go as to whether she would pass. But all parties except her agreed it was a fail as she had not improved. She has also failed her academic work too, which made it easier to handle, but I still feel bad.

Anyway. Quiet night in for me, feeling much better now, cough not bothered me today. Freezer dinner instead of stirfry, easier

    Hi all,

    Miffy Loki is so cute.....:A

RR - fingers crossed your ear gets sorted soon - I hate earache and toothache, you don,t seem to be able to stop the pain.

BB - when can you start on mine? Our bedroom is still floorboards and bare rafters after 3 bloomin years - OH is self employed and you can,t turn doen paid work can you (small grrrr)

Pooky and sistacas - i,m a bit envious of your Prom excitement, my darling DD has refused to share any detail of her prom night with me, I don,t even know what colour her dress is :( I think its her revenge for me 'spoiling' her birthday....

HH - know the tired feeling - have work nearly 50 hours so far this week, brain feels like its melting LOL

Hugs and high 5,s to anyone i,ve missed xx

Jacket pots and beans for dinner as it was easy and cheap, quite chuffed with myself, as I would have ordered takeout before joining all of you on here.

Other than that I have nothing to report.

Off to lay down in a darkened room - have a fab evening all xx
Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Ooh forgot to tell you about my YS bargains. Popped to Co-op earlier to buy an ice cream to cheer me up, and in the reduced section they had packs of 6 large onion bahjess for 40p (I got 2 packs), 2pack of low fat garlic bread for 40p, low fat yogurts 8 pack for 40p :D all dated for early July so not sure why they were there!!
