Morning all
RR - rest, rest, rest, rest!
I was MIA yesterday, but I found out I have officially passed my PGCE :j:j:j:j:j.
Yday I had a meeting all day in Cardiff for work, I drove my boss there so I could claim the expenses. I will get almost £50 back in expenses, and only used £15 worth of petrol so well worth it!
Cough seems a bit better today, managed to sleep last night.
Office day again today with a few meetings thrown in. Hoping it will fly by!
OS wise - packed lunch made, dishes to wash, stirfry for tea.
Have a good day all

Morning Redruby and all,
pretty miserable here and i'm sure we have just had a flash of lightening. No thunder though i've got the music pretty loud so i might have missed it.
I'm feeling awful at the moment health wise and feeling so very depressed because of it.
Yes, just another flash of lightening and i'm not keen on lightening. Thunder doesnt bother me but the lightening puts me on edge.
Anyway, have a great day all, and dodge the rain if you have any.
Hugs to all that need them and some in return would be appreciated. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
miffy - meant to say, despite comments about cats and general mischief - desperately envy you kittens.
Evil cat has not been expected to last this long. However her malevolence seems to have a preservative effect. At the moment I am telling myself that when she goes to the great hearth rug in the sky where the mice are slow and the fire is always on, I will get two adult rescue cats. I am also telling myself how much easier it will be without her. Actually I will be devastated when she goes, and I will almost certainly fall for a kitten.
I am also telling myself that the only reason we need a cat is that on our street if you don't have a cat you have mice - who am I kidding? The only trouble is that OH wants a dog as well.
Really, really envy you new kittens.
sistercas - my late mother in law wouldn't believe that the house was falling down. It was - literally. Some people would rather not look. Good luck with the rail.
Judi - be careful using a computer in thunder - OH always has to deal with a lot of claims after thundery weather. Though these days I think there are less problems than there were
flutterby - it's amazing what expenses (legitmate ones!) can help with.
Typing this almost sideways as evil cat is trying to nudge me off the desk. Her favourite seat at the moment is on top of the computer mouse. And she is too frail for me to just lift and drop - I even have to be careful how I pick her up these days - and she knows this and revels in it.Ankh Morpork Sunshine Sanctuary for Sick Dragons - don't let my flame go out!0 -
Morning everyone,
Judi - big hugs and to everyone else who need them today.
Flutter - congratulations on passing your PGCE, no idea what it is but it sounds big
Sister - isn't that annoying, best to do jobs yourself so they get done but keep smiling
miffy - well done dd
nmlc - hope it goes well tomo
bargain - love your daily signs
ruby - hope your ear is better soon
Hope I haven't missed anything. Well the sun is out here, it was lovely last night again as well. Didn't do anything when I got home, made tea but didn't fancy it and ended up having bread and butter instead.
The hot tub is all set up, filled and working so me, dd2 & dd3 just stood at the side and watched the bubbles last night which was niceand then turned it off and went back indoors!
Err, now changed, very dark and grumbling is in the air. I think the storm is on its way. Today is my last day of work for the week, going to mums tomorrow to take her food shopping then it will be the usual cleaning this weekend. I must dust! We have rain forecast Sat and Sun so don't think I will be in the garden. I have no end of new plants growing which I think must be weeds as I didn't plant them so they need pulling. I still have the grass to cut too. I think my potatoes have started to grow, there's some green shoots showing
Must also make some more laundry gloop tomorrow and some batch cooking. I need some small shepherds pies to freeze and I think some pasties would do well so need to get some mince.
Thats it I think, must get on as oc is coming to work to do an audit so I best get ready for that.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
Take care0 -

RR do as you're told, and rest. If you must do something, visualise the ear healing itself.;)
Judi uh, oh, sounds like the BD is trying to move in with you; it's probably the brother of the one that keeps plaguing me. *Boots BD in the Furry Dice* Have a Wolfy (((HUG))).
Pooky I dare say you've had your meeting by now; hope it went well.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Morning all
RR hope you feel better soon.
Congrats on dd's 2:1 Miffy.
BB we are decorating the bedroom too....the plaster skim is nearly dry, we have ordered a bed and I am looking at bedding with DH. Just the carpet to get now and all the painting....sigh.
Pooky sending you good vibes for the meeting.
Sistercas (hugs)
Flutterby congrats and well done you!
Nmlc thinking of you.
Judi ((hugs))
Well hugs and kind thoughts to everyone else today.
I am tired today as we had the official opening of the foodbank with the Lord Mayor yesterday and much running around has been done in the last few days. All over now so we can concentrate on our real task.
Dinner tonight is smoked sausage pasta I think. Last night we had potato, spinach and chickpea curry. We used our perpetual spinach from the garden and it was yummy.
DH is still waiting to hear if he is getting voluntary redundancy -has been told to expect news this week. I see more penny stretching on the horizon.............
Another coffee I think and nearly time to peg the washing out as it has brightened up here.
Have a good day all.

Hi everyone sun is out but very hazy and rather humid.still its dry and thats whats important after all the wet weather.
O/Therapy lady has just been and recommended a stair-lift, and walk-in level access shower for the bathroom. She has lots of reports to write out so i daresay it will be months before I hear anything ,still she was very nice and I managed to make her a cuppa without dropping it.
NSD today as I dug some corned beef out of the freezer and I am having that with what's left of the salad bits for dinner tonigh I also have some left over new potato's which will go with it as well.
HM veggie soup for lunch with some crackers.Apart from that I'm just chilling out and doing nowt today as my joints are a bit achy(sign of rain usually )
Hope you all have a good day

Morning :hello:
Congrats Miss Miffy :T
Flutterby congrats to you too
I was pottering around in the garden earlier. Snipped a load of grass for the piggies and filled the tray with water for my doves (yes, they are now mine). Shouldn't have bothered with the water, it suddenly went dark and started raining. Big fat raindrops then lots of thunder. The chickens have run for cover. I've had to put the lights on in the house. I've not long put the washing out, it's undercover though so it can stay there.
I ventured into the shed, just to make sure everyone's been keeping it tidy, lol. Then decided to go through the freezer and sort it out. I found three fishcakes, took one out for lunch and put it to one side while I finished sorting. But now I can't find it :rotfl: I definitely didn't put it back in the freezer so it's in the shed somewhereBulletproof0 -
Congratulations to FB and Miss Miffy!
Afternoon All
Very slow morning here as we were out last night for me leaving school, everyone ended up here which resulted in much dancing on the wii, a couple of glasses of something red and lots of good chat. We had been out earlier for something to eat, a great end to my day but suffering for it now!
tru, I hope you find that fishcake, could be awfully smelly if you dont!
Redruby, hope the ear continues to improve.
Not doing any washing or cleaning today, I have cooked a bacon roll and that will be the sum total of my efforts today. It's raining anyway so would have to have wet washing hanging about!
Hugs to those in need, take care. XX0
