I don't understand the confusion - you do know what an exchange rate is?

Ryanair will add a 6.5% fee on top of the exchange rate (i.e. the conversion from euros to pounds). Your bank will probably add less.

Pay using a euro FairFX card and don't pay any Ryanair charges. FairFX charge about 1.5% on the transaction. The card is free and gives a good exchange rate.

The countries where the Ryanair card is available are

United Kingdom
Ireland
Italy
Germany
Spain

So I GUESS that the pre-paid route is OK from all the others, I used one from France today.
