Conversion Fees Ryanair ?

Options
Hi

I am looking to book some one way flights form Alicante to Glasgow Preswick with Ryanair.

I was wondering what charges will be made by the bank/credit card company and what exchange rate is used ?

The flights I am looking at are 49.99 euros plus the 6euro per person charge .

I can pay with electron visa debit ,or credit card, the credit doesnt have anything special regarding spending in different currencies.

Any advice much appreciated.:D

That depends on what bank you use......

Ryanair seems to add 6.5% to the exchange rate, presumably your bank will beat that.

Look at xe.com then add your bank's or the Ryanair mark-up

    OK

49.99 + 6.00 Euros = 55.99 Euros are you with me so far?
    Convert using xe.com = £44.84 (at 20.00 GMT)

Then add the mark-up depending on your card.
If you use Metro Bank and opt out of Ryanairs's exchange rate it will still be £44.84 if you use a cr*p bank it will probably add 3% ish or a bit more if you use Ryanair's exchange rate.

This should get you to within the odd 1p

Don't forget from some countries flights can still be paid with pre-paid Mastercards without paying the £6

Sorry I missed out important extra information which I just do automatically.
AFTER YOU HAVE ENTERED YOUR CARD INFORMATION
go up a few lines to the price and click MORE INFORMATION right of Including admin fee
then untick the box. This will give you your bank's exchange rate not Ryanair's.

Metrobank will be £44.84. Average credit/debit card would be + 3% (£1.34 more) both if you untick the guaranteed exchange rate box and if you accept the guaranteed exchange rate then Ryanair Dynamic Currency conversion would be aprox +6.5% (£2.91 more)
