I've just had a discussion with the kids and we are talking about going to see a film..
It's just been pointed out to me that no matter what we see I always fall asleep..:o
My daughter has just returned from a weeks holiday with the school, they also went to the cinema and some of the teachers and assistants were nodding off...
Just wondered if I'm the only one that does it and if not what makes us fall asleep in there...:)

I always take the moral high ground, it's lovely up here...

I think it's the dark. I am more likely to stay awake if it's not dark, and also if the cinema is cold.52% tight0

Depends what the film is like. I struggle to keep my eyes open sometimes if it's boring (usually kids films) ! It's when you start to snore that it gets embarrassing.0

You are not alone, I regularly fall asleep at the cinema. It is warm in the hopes that people feel thirsty and so spend more on drinks. It is dark. Lets face it some films are enough to bore you to sleep. Says the woman who once nodded off whilst watching 'Mission Impossible'. Much to my then boyfriends horror! It just wasn't my type of film.
Its a flipping expensive way to take a cat nap though isn't it. My two boys want to drag me off to see the 'Top cat' movie. I never did enjoy that show even as a kid myself. Feel like yawning just considering it
The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0 -
Almost fell asleep watching kung fu panda 2. Did fall asleep watching BloodWorks (a Clint Eastwood film) and still do when I watch it on the telly.I hate migraines.0

No but I really found any sort of catoon movie mind numbingly boring. It gets much better as they get older. DS is my cinema buddy as OH hates the cinema. DS is 12 now and the movies he likes now are excellent ( Iron Man, The Avengers ). I hope it's a little ritual we can keep up for as long as he can bear to be seen with his Mum

I never fall asleep in the cinema, but then again, it is always freezing! I often wear a cardigan and coat, and wrap a scarf round my face. The air conditioning is somewhat keen! I usually ask them to turn it off. Incidentally, I rarely wear a coat and only occasionally wear a cardi, as I'm so warm most of the time.0 -
I don't even have to be bored with the film to nod off.
I think, as said, it's the warmth plus you are practically tied to the chair for the whole film because of not wanting to disturb everyone.0 -
I have only fallen asleep at the cinema once. Ironically it was whilst watching Insomnia!
